During #Snowmapocalypseogeddon2015 our ice-maker started making clicking/grinding noises. So a day later I decide it is time to investigate by chromecasting my phone to the tv, LSS, fixed!
Ice cannot move due to being stuck in tray causes gear that turns the ice out to make a clicking noise. Try spaying the trays in the ice maker with food grade silicone.
The clutch for the extractor goes bad. Replace the entire assembly. $130 and 1 or 2 screws.

Bad mold heater wont release the ice

bought replacement ice maker, think it wasn't heating tray to release ice, new one works but slower
Our new one is 4 months old started clicking same issue. The original lasted 12 years.
