This is my second cycle with my disc and it’s working great and I love it so so much more than tampons. I almost forgot I was on my period while at work today, I’ll honestly probably get reusable pads as a backup however I’ve only had leakage while auto dumping, but at this point I can control if I do or don’t.
hey everyone! I switched from the diva cup to the hello disc. I highly recommend it because you don't have to worry about the stupid "vacuum seal" and pinching your insides with your nails. The hello disc is a game-changer for me! :)

Hey. It is indeed super small! During pregnancy it stretches a ton. And then after giving birth it kind of shrinks back to a smaller size (this process is kind of uncomfortable according to me sister, mother of 3)

I'm sorry but this seems like a lot to go through for something that's going to leak, I just I will stick with tampons I think they will always work for me. Plus I got a super super super heavy. So I can fill up a super plus plus tampon in like an hour, and it's like this for the first 3 days of my menstrual cycle. So I can't imagine worrying about a cup getting overfilled and spilling everywhere LOL. It already bothers me when I go to the bathroom and it looks like an El Chapo crime scene😂😂. Sorry I had to I couldn't help myself. If you knew me you'd understand😂
Disc's carry 4-6 tampons n auto dump, don't leak my aunt uses 1 disc plus a regular pad for her 1st day n she has extremely heavy bleeding but besides that she has never leaked
I’ve used a cup about nine years. I’d never go back to tampons. Tampons don’t only absorb menstrual fluid. They also absorb your natural moisture. With cup at times I can forget I have my period. On heavy days sometimes I have to empty the cup like three or four times. It doesn’t usually leak unless it’s overflowing. But that the same as with a tampon.
Leaks can happen to you with any sort of period product, you could have a heavy period, it could be the wrong size, improperly inserted or positioned. I've tried cups, tampons, discs, and pads but the reusable products have helped with other issues I had when using normal period products.
Leaks are sometimes, not always, part of being new to a cup or disc while you learn how to use it. It can be caused by the cup not opening fully (remedied by other folds or angles) or not emptying soon enough before you get into the rhythm. Not getting the cup or disc in the right place where blood goes past. After 1-3 cycles you’ll fix that and no longer need backup. I’d rather be honest about the reality than paint a picture that’s it’s easy and 100% leak free day 1!
I want to share my first cup experience because lulz. Soooo I put it in right away at the beginning but I was just spotting. So I went with the one for 30+ mothers ... Which I was and am, but I hadn't been active in the bedroom for about 10 years... And had a c-section(Pro tip that means you need a smaller one) It was time to take it out. Now I play online mobile war games I'm in the bathroom unable to remove the cup. Absolutely unwilling to go to the hospital without non menstrual bloodshed I went to my handy toolbox and grabbed a pliers. I'm actively yanking it out of me tears streaming down my face it's catching on every ridge on the way out. It felt like a receptionist with physics defying nails is using my walls as a nail file. My vag is on fire... I have my cell next to me and my hive is being attacked a minute in my bestie in game screams at me I see you online what are you doing my castle is on fire I'm like "betch not only is my castle also on fire so is my coochie!!! I care so much less about my pixel castle than I do the gates to the whole a$$ kingdom. So many pixel troops died for my sn@tch that day RIP. Lmao!!!

When I’m in the shower, I squat when I put mine in. If not, I’ll prop my leg up on the counter while standing.

My aunt has used fake nails and sharp ones to and has had no problem but same with tampons tho gotta go up there
yeah idk i think fake nails all up in there would be unsanitary but i guess washing your hands with lots of soap before and after could possibly help
