Is it a plug in and go mover or do you have to use a dmx controller to control it ? Just some gig i don’t have time to wire up dmx that’s all Thank you
i definitely don't think so. it's more of a really tight led wash with a special effect that just looks like a gobo or prism. at best, the spikie also doesn't really turn into a beam even when it's zoomed down as narrow as possible, it's just a really tight spot. in my book, a true hybrid has to have a full optical system like we all know. real focus, a real prism, real gobos, that sort of thing. the being said, the spikie is still awesome. seems like it's truly supposed to compete with the ayrton magic dot tho. i'd definitely take a spikie, this absolutely destroys magic dots. plus, the spikie isn't anywhere near high power enough to really take on the current moving head lamp hybrids.
this isn't a spot fixture meant to have multiple gobo wheels....also this does have a 3 facet prism, plus the flower effect, allowing rotation in both directions at variable speeds....this is a compact LED hybrid beam/wash with an incredible feature set, especially the continuous pan and tilt....Robe has a huge array of fixtures to cater to all needs, and this one, as well as their other products, fill those niches as good or better than any company in the industry
for all you that dont know, this is the light that was on the 24k magic tour with Bruno Mars. there were hundreds of them, and they looked so tiny.
