    As someone from more of maths/python+matplotlib background, I've been enjoying egui_plot, which is much better if you want something more interactive anyway, but its still missing the conciseness and ability to export to pdf of something like matplotlib.

      I don't really know what you mean. Half of the talk was focused on how rust was used in the project, what made rust special for them, and how it fits into their world of academia. Most of rustconf is about user stories, and I think that's a great thing for a language that aims to be used in many areas of programming at once.

      @GunterZochbauer I get your comment. I was absolutely fascinated by the talk. The availability of RNA sequencing with a laptop is really cool. I appreciate that she showed some benchmarks for her project. And maybe the area of the conference she was discussing dealt with rust stories as @mikkelens said. As a data person and visualisation person, I would have liked to see some I/O typo transformation or something. But overall good intro.
