Sir,I am a Linux user and I practiced all your tutorial. But I felt no difficulties. It is working there well and fast. Again your tutorials are nice and easy to understand..
You bring up a good point! I have been asked, ”Why don’t I use Linux for my tutorials?” The reason is, I feel the Linux users can understand tutorials on Windows more than Windows users seeing tutorials on a Linux OS. I feel I would need to do a series on Linux before I start using it in my videos.
Yeah, for general purpose professional 3d model is no needed, maybe Libreoffice Draw do way better than that for public user. And 2D must be first widespread before 3D. I really really hope Inkscape and Krita could improve to replace Illustrator and Photoshop one day. Thanks for your effort by the way you produce so much great quality/organize/clear lecture in Libreoffice, I respect that. And Libreoffice Base have potential (at least for myself) since it could manage data with totally different way than spreadsheet can do. Another type of software I think Important is WIKI/CMS (content management system), like Tikiwiki. We need to do journal/log and note/paragraph all the tim no matter for person or organization. We have information come to us everyday and we need to store it in one place. Where we could use single search box which connect automatic to backend complex database, with simple keywords will response all data we write before. As someone's information getting bigger and bigger, it become less possible to use traditional method to save digital information. (Like piles of single spreadsheet, DOC/word stack in your drive somewhere you will never know how to find it.) For information we need CMS, and for digital asset (files) we need DAM (digital asset management). CMS type software is easy to get and install (like Tikiwiki or wordpress) on your local drive. But DAM is much hard, I even can't deal with it. It usually require specialist. But if it is done, manage your photos/videos/audio/document was like a piece of cake, since traditional folder tree structure / hierarchy structure we used to manage files on or drive was useless.
Hehehe :))) What you imply about Linux users is most probably true ;) Nevertheless, the mighty (and wiser) purveyors of FOSS do their best to reach out to as many platforms as they can. I look forward to any tutorials you may do on Linux - there's always some new gem to be unearthed from the awesomeness of the Linux platform.
Thanks again, I've considered doing some tutorials in Linux, but I feel I would need to do some Linux tutorials before that happens. Also, I feel Linux users are a little more computer savvy will be able to know how to do these things in Linux a lot easier than a basic windows user having to think how do I do that in windows?
You are very welcome! And I’m glad you are still learning about free software with me!
Libre office draw is by far better than most cad softwares

Of course! But alas, I have libreOffice on Linux and not Windows; so I'm truly free, I guess :)
try blender for 3d modeling
it support both linux and windows
I like Blender - I'm tossing around the idea of doing a tutorial series on it, but I have a few other topics I ahead of it.
