"In the style of stained glass" gives some nice curvilinear lines.

I like this series, very much appreciated! I was playing around with different (printing) techniques like "collotype print", "blueprint", "cross processing print", "Melainotype print", "halftone print" etc. Maybe an inspiration for your next video? ;)

I don't use Midjourney but I think a lot of these should work with Stable Diffusion. I'm very much looking forward to trying them out! Thank you for the great video!

Thank you! I agree, although geared toward midjourney, it boils down to visual vocabulary really. Have a good weekend mate :)

I imagine the Bahaus style didn't work so well because it's actually "Bauhaus". Good video though.

@@WadeMcMaster Some of the artwork in Thor:Ragnarok seemed to be a future art nouveau kinda style, hmm, let's see what that generates 👍

It's actually spelled "Bauhaus" so that's probably why you didn't get the look you were expecting....and yet, sometimes you did so perhaps MJ does some spell correction?

    • @WadeMcMaster
      @WadeMcMaster  10 місяців тому

I have noticed MJ does seem to recognize spelling errors. However, I don't know if I misspelt the prompt as well as the video..I havent checked lol

Slot machine art, if anything, should raise human-created art to the level of prestige humancrafted luxury art that comes with a ludicrous price tag - Midjourney is great for kids if they mature beyond Star Wars and breasts they might one day create captivating works of art.

I'm gonna be honest, I was really close to hitting the 3 dots next to this video and selecting "not interested" when it appeared in my recommended. I watch a lot of art related content on youtube, so it makes sense that it was recommended to me, but I don't usually care for watching videos about AI generated stuff.
But against my instincts, I decided to give this video a chance, and above everything, it left me in disbelief. I am an illustrator who has practiced for over a decade, and has nearly ruined their life because of prioritising creating art over other things in life. Naturally, when AI generated art starts becoming popular, I'm mad. I'm sure you've heard about the illegalities and immorality with most databases used for AI generated images, but you might be able to guess that what made me angriest was how this technology threatens to take my job - current and future.
So essentially, because I'm an artist - a professional one at that - I have an extremely biased perspective when it comes to AI generated art, which is why I wanted to leave a comment asking something. You seem to be excited about AI art. Which makes me wonder; when it's clear that AI generated images take hundreds - I don't know, even millions of hand crafted artworks, and uses them to make something new, what is the purpose of this image?
I can't deny the fact that AI generated art has gotten to the point of being indistinguishable from handmade art at times. They obviously use techniques, preferences, and instincts that the images they take from have. You put cool images in, you eventually get cool images out (although this is an extreme summary). What I don't understand is why people want these images. To save money? Because its faster?
As I said, I'm an artist. And it seems that technologically, AI art is accepted, works fine, and has the ability to replace human illustrators. But I'm wondering what you'd imagine the perfect ecosystem of AI and human art looks like. Do we progress beyond the need of people learning how to draw? or do we segregate AI art to be solely used for shits and giggles.
What do you hope the future of AI generated art looks like?
While I'm here, I will say, the video is well presented and interesting. Thanks for taking the time to read this comment, and if you can, I'd love to hear what you think.
    Cheers

Thank you for checking out the video despite your opinion, I really appreciate it!
From a pro AI perspective, I first and foremost just find it fun.
As a professional graphic designer, which isnt really the same as pro artist, I find I can produce unique elements very quickly (images, textures, overlays etc) and ive also used it for concepts and inspiration behind designs (and art).
One massive impact I see is people being inspired to make art after playing with ai. So I think we'll find it creates more digital artists.
I think it will affect jobs, but the demand for imagery is only increasing. Every graphic designer I know can't keep up, so the idea of plugging it into processed to be more efficient will make these jobs more doable .
However, I don't think it will ever be as good as completely human made art and design where skill+ control will deliver a more precise final product.
That's my thoughts on it anyway haha
