- What's inside Racold Pronto 3L Instant Water Heater. Teardown/ Disassembly of 3L instant Water Heater. If you wish to open/ repair your water heater yourself just watch the video.
General Informtion about Instant Water Heaters:
3L instant water heaters costs around 3k in India and mostly it comes with 2 years warranty.
Addl Purchase:
1. Three pin 10A plug.
2. Two hot water pipes and its fittings (tap if u need one) to the wall pipes.
3. Screws for mounting.
Working:
Instant Water Heaters are automatic. Switch on and worry about nothing. You will get warm water in seconds. There is no temperature control in the heater BUT you can control the temperature of water by controlling the flow using the tap.
Slower the flow = hotter the water.
3 Litre just indicates the capacity of the Tank which can be seen in the video. It doesn't mean the quantity of water you are going to get from the heater. It supplies hot water continuously.
There is automatic cut off and you don't have to worry about over-heating.
Such knowledgeable videos do not require music but require vocal demonstration.
The video is good to see what is inside. In instant water heaters, BEFORE switching on power supply, FIRST check whether water is flowing through the machine. First allow water to flow and then switch on the instant heater to avoid dry heating. AFTER the heater use, switch off power supply and DO NOT close water immediately. Allow water to take the balance heat inside. After switch off, allow 30 seconds of water flow through the machine and then close the water tap. In high rise buildings, control the force and speed of water flow by suitable reducers etc., to avoid vibration inside the machine. Consult plumber.

Can't we cut the outlet water pipe to mininum inside the tank so their is less water inside the tank which can give a long lasting water heater
The Outlet pipe is in enough height to submerge the entire coil under water. So cutting it will result in exposing the coil n damage it.

One is for temp relay and another is for trip the device ....when temp is very high relay trips

Ur heater tank might have rusted or in some old houses pipeline itself is made of iron and gets rusted. Leave it flowing for a while, the water will clear up

Its not to be adjusted. Its a value to control the flow of water into the heater ie, it restricts water entering the heater to some pre determined quantity set by the company

Red light indicates power supply. It glows always when power is on.
Orange light indicates heating. It glows when water is cold n stops when the water reaches the preset temperature. Once u empty the hot water it glows again n water gets heated

In storage water heater
1. power consumption is little bit less 2KW
2. hot water temp can b regulated using settings
3. Size n cost will b bigger than Instant.
4. Generally lasts longer ~ 10 years r so depending on ur luck.
Instant heater consumes 3KW. Temp regulation is through flow control. Size will b much smaller. Good if it lasts for 5 years. Mine is 3.5 years nw

+Zaheer Baig First, Current won't pass in pure water like they show in movies. Second, the current is used fully to heat the coil.
@@JayTechVideos u can just say that the heater coil is isolated from water thus preventing current to leak into water and then the whole tank is earthed so if the water heater is earthed properly and referenced to ground then it will earth the leakage current incase of insulation failure and if the heater is connected in series to a gfci or rcd it will trip the breaker!!!!! safe af!!!

Hi, in my geyser hot water is somehow getting mixed with cold water and hot water is coming out through cold water tap. It damaged the cold water pipe also. Pipe fitment is ok, something wrong with geyser. Any solution?
