Thank you Ellie for sharing about plant medicine and Dragon Magic. I, just the other day, was messaged by 2 green nature dragons from 2 different decks, on successive draws. The first draw was prior to sleep, and the second draw was immediately upon awakening. Both carried messages to consider the holy vibrations that emanate from sacred plants. I tend to lean more towards total abstention from all plant medicines, viewing them as unnecessary externalities that carry much risk. However, my sense is that when coupled with sincere inner work, they can accelerate much growth and expansion. I have much more healing to do on myself and will be looking deeper into whether plant medicine will be part of my healing journey.

Biggest takeaway: The best way to help others is to heal ourselves. There are so many layers to that concept.

I hope this comment is not out of place... it might be because this is a difficult topic for us in spiritual path, but... you decide that,
And the comment is, about Evil.
I feel that we all may have our "Evil" side, just like everyone may have their "Good" side. Take Adolf Hitler for example. I have read, from wikipedia or such I think, that Hitler was actually an enthusiasted environmentalist, trying to protect wild nature. Hitler, can you imagine? If perhaps the worst-history person can be like that, then... wouldn't you think it goes the other way around too?
And no I'm not saying that we all have big bad past in this lifetime. But maybe in previous lifetimes we had. I certainly have one grave misdeed in this life I did to this small animal I was supposed to take care of. That misdeed broke me inside so badly, worse than anything else by far. That animal gave her life so that I would learn to rein myself in, in any given situation. I did not rein myself in with her because it was so hard to me to do that, and I truly tried... but I failed.
And now the really controversial part:
Evil may have its place in the world, too, unfortunately so. It is what is a clear, vocal and unbridled teacher to us in our lives. Evil is not something we should blindly let reign over us and our lives, but I believe it's still something we keep facing as long as we try to walk the path of goodness without remembering what's on the other side of that "spectrum", if you will.
And this is why I lean more to neutrality and to goodness. I know neutrality can be a boring thing for sure, but I feel like it can be this tightrope dance where you so easily fall to ground from dancing on that rope.
    ...
My last comment to this podcast episode is, it's the "trap for an altruist" where you forget yourself and focus on the well-being of those around you more than on your own well-being. I've fallen to that place too, maybe for five years in this life so far, but I got out of it, thanks to a friend who told me there's a better way around all that. And that better way, as silly and cliche it is, is Loving Yourself. Especially, loving the evil within You, as you'd love the best parts in you. "Love your enemies as you'd love yourself (or your loved ones)", as they say.
Remember Lord Of The Rings trilogy movie. There were the goodies and baddies, Sauron and orcs vs humans, elves, dwarves and hobbits! But even Frodo had his "bad side" which almost ruined it all, until the most unlikely of all "heroes", Gollum, made the decisive move to eradicate the evil that plagued Middle-Earth. Many were tested with the One Ring, Boromir especially, but also Gandalf too. I strongly feel like we're all tested there too, because goodies attract that to themselves. But we don't have to let those tests to be the end of us, no. :)
