Joey Carbone he's accurate and has good pocket presence. People say Rosen is the most seasoned Qb for NFL. But his concussions as a GM would of made me pass . I'm happy with sam. Now just get him a line and some WR and the Defense is set for 10 years with Adams ,maye, Lee and Williams. Let's fucking bring a championship home to gang green. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Joey Carbone if Sam don't start week 1. Jets are a joke. Let's go through the growing pains and his talent . Jets defense can overcome QB rookie growing pains. I really believe that. The question is does Boles. Plz season him day 1. Don't want another Hackenburgh
If you take a look at all his passes game by game you would realize how inaccurate he really is. per every amazing throw he makes he has already madr 5,6, or 7 boneheaded throws. i think he's going to be a good pro, but he is going to lead NFL in interceptions a couple of times
Sick of hearing people say you can’t take him because USC QBs don’t work out in the NFL. I don’t give a shit where a guy went to school as long as the film looks like he can play and it could translate to the next level. Last 3 USC first round QBs were Palmer, Leinart, and Sanchez. Palmer: long career that was definitely affected by injury but better than 97% of quarterbacks careers. Leinart: Left handed quarterbacks are difficult to translate in the NFL. Probably shouldn’t have been a first round pick for that reason alone. Just like you wouldn’t draft a short QB in the first round. But might have worked in a different situation where they took their time building the offense around him. Sanchez: first 3 years his record was 28-20 and he was essentially a game manager. But he was effective and did go 4-2 in the playoffs beating Manning, Brady, and Rivers. All i know is that they changed his coordinator from Brian Schottenheimer to Tony Sparano in his fourth season and he was never the same. This easily could have been Jets mismanaging his career and who knows Sanchez could have had a Joe Flacco like career where he is a game manager that can win you a playoff game every now and then. But it’s just lazy to say that Darnold won’t work out in the NFL because he is a USC QB. It would also be lazy to say that Darnold will pan out just because Carson Palmer panned out. It’s ok to look at history but to base solely off of history is ridiculous.
Nice highlight, my only suggestion is that it could’ve included some of his footage versus Colorado and their 1st game against Stanford which were two of his better games but nice cut up nonetheless.
Man he’s going to struggle rookie year if he starts but I like a lot about him besides the turnovers More worried about the fumbles than the int Hard to hold that ball if he’s playing for Cleveland in that weather
At 11:36 why Josh Allen has the best chance to succeed in the NFL based on history, Darnold being smart for leaving USC, why Mayfield’s cockiness doesn’t bother me as we love cocky athletes, and Rosen personality is something teams will have to get over! soundcloud.com/user-519228920/the-lead-podcast-show-with-jewlz-on-the-mic-ep-30
I like him. He's a thick, trunky, coastal kid. Jets got a steal due to the browns ignorance taking Mayfield. I don't want my quarterback to have a police video and be posing shirtless. Darnold best QB in the draft.
This guy and the browns pass catchers would be sick on Sunday's. He seems to get the ball to his guys at the perfect time to catch it. Yeah he might not be perfect but he is perfect for the Doggpound. Because here in Cleveland guys are wiiidddeeee ooooppppeennnnn but the qb can't see them or can't get them the ball. He can do all that and some. Plus he has a sense to feel people's presence around him. Can those other qbs make those same plays like that? Let me know who you think can because want to check them out as well.Im a browns fans and that's it... so I have not seen anybody do anything else.
*SNEAKER HEAD* I was shocked myself. After i let it sink i think it was an ok draft. They got some guys who can make a difference. There won't be as many holes to attack on D and we got playmakers all over the field. this has to be the best team we had in a minute.Im ready to see what the browns will look like on Sunday's. I personally feel like I can do some damage with the browns on madden now so that's pretty sweet as well.
When you consider how Zach Wilson turned out, keeping Sam Darnold may have been a good idea. Unfortunately, he was chosen by a team that doesn't know how to develop QBs.
People say he struggled I think the draft process will reveal and with much clarity that he is a top 5 overall prospect and probably a lock at 1 to Cleveland
Has the potential to be the best QB to wear a Jets Uniform. That means Jets gonna win championships. Yes plural. I'm a long suffering Jets fan. Let me dream. 🙋🙋🙏🙏👍✌💪💪🤗🤗. Somebody gotta win . Why not the Jets. I'll always be with the Jets. Even the rich kotite years. I did that time like a trooper. Yes I paid my dues watched Jets loosing 45-0 till last tick on the clock. Queens we are the champions got me through those painful years and DECADES 👉 50 AND counting.
GTRandy that's exactly what I said he accurate and great pocket presence. He should be one of the best in NFL soon if the money and Broadway lights don't get to him. I'm very happy with this pick. ROSEN IS CONCUSSION PRONE big time already had multiple in college and NFL hit harder.
And now he is a sitting duck waiting for Trevor Lawrence to replace him. He has played poorly and isn’t the same guy, but as a lifelong Jet fan, I really won’t be surprised if he finds success in the right system. Jets always trying to piece together an offense instead of going all out. I believe he still has a chance at success but not on my team sadly lol. He isn’t transcendent- he is not gonna rise about a crap team. He needs the support, which is okay, but the Jets need a manning or a Brady or a Luck. The leader who makes everyone else better.
im a jet fan and at first i was kinda pissed off that we drafted darnold over baker mayfield. after watching the first six weeks of off season workouts now i see why we chose darnold. HE'S A BETTER OVERALL QB THAN MAYFIELD.. AND IS THE MOST PRO-READY QB!
j-hubb007 Hub You have no idea what the fuck you're even talking about. The Jets did not draft Darnold over Mayfield. Darnold fell to them at 3 after CLE/NYG passed on him
He's Eli Manning backup and Josh Rosen is browns as kizer backup and Baker Mayfield is jets QB and probably a starter thier and Lamar Jackson is a bills and a backup to tyrod taylor or raiders backup QB or Pat's QB and a backup to TB12.
Slow Burn Good move. His stock is high right now and he isn’t going to get much better at USC with a bad OL and bad coaching staff. No reason to stay after winning a conf title, Rose Bowl, and being 1st team all conf. Would’ve only risked injury dropping his draft stock.
DPMixing Are you aware of how many turnovers Darnold is responsible for? 22 to be exact which is tied for the national lead. Dude is only a redshirt sophomore don’t see any problem with coming back and improving. He might still get picked in the top 10 but whoever does isn’t going to get that top notch ready to go guy like Rosen for example.
Slow Burn Are you aware that Rosen and Darnold’s PASSING stats were virtually identical this season? Rosen 3756 yds 62.6% 26 TDs 10 INTs 147.0 Pass RTG 65.8 QBR | Darnold 4143 yds 63.1% 26 TDs 13 INTs 148.1 Pass RTG 74.6 QBR. Darnold had slightly more INTs than Rosen but led him in every other passing category. Are you also aware that Deshaun Watson had 21 turnovers at Clemson last season and Jameis Winston had 25 turnovers in 2014 at FSU. Also part of the reason Darnold’s turnover rate is so high was due to fumbles because his OL sucked at USC. He got sacked 8 times against Ohio St in the Cotton Bowl. His INTS weren’t even that high but he took a lot of punishment leading to fumbles and it would be stupid to comeback for another season with a bad OL and risk major injury. I’m not saying he doesn’t have some growth and development to do. But the risk of coming back was way higher than the potential improvement he could’ve had in college, which is exactly the reason why he declared earlier today. The last QB that came back for another season at USC (Matt Barkley) went from a potential 1st round pick to a 4th rounder and wasn’t any more ready for the league. After 25 games, a Rose Bowl, a conference title it was time for Darnold to go, even if he had some improvement left to make.
DPMixing If stats are all you go by then that tells me everything i need to know about your knowledge of the game. First of all, its highly debatable that Rosen had worse stats than Darnold because of the team he was on. Rosen lost a lot of key contributors and had a shit team to work with. Darnold’s O-line wasnt impressive but his RB and Pass catchers certainly were. My point wasn’t to compare the two anyways so im not even gonna go further into that. I understand why he declared. His stock was already as high as it coulda gone and the money is always exciting to, but in reality he just isn’t ready to be a starter in the NFL. U talk about Jameis Winston and DeShaun Watson when both struggled with turnovers in their rookie seasons almost throwing a pick in every game. Also, Winston has never lead his team to a winning season so u really cant label him as a successful QB, and thats the result of leaving early when you arent ready. Its just my opinion that he should go back to school for the benefit of him getting better leading to a more successful career early on rather than later.
DPMixing EDIT: Winston and the bucs were 9-7 last year but i still dont label him as a winner. Not just because of his record but because of his skill set as well.
Leinart was a bust because he had top talent around him in college. Fools gold similar to Mayfield's situation in Oklahoma. Darnold didn't have such luxury. USC was either 1-2 or 1-3 (can't remember which) before Darnold was given the starting job. They lost a close 1st game with darnold on a fluke (They should've won that game), but didn't lose again for rest of the year after that. The USC team wasn't that good. The really weren't. Darnold completely changed that. He saved coach Helton's job (he was gonna get canned) and lifted USC to a top 4 ranking by the start of the following season. Sanchez was actually a good qb but the jets organization ruined him. The worry shouldn't be about darnold. If anything it should about the Jets. I hope they value their qb enough this time around by proactively providing the best situation they can to help him succeed. Darnold is sooo much better than Leinart, Sanchez or Palmer. It's not even close. Jets fans will see for themselves. He's a qb with point guard attributes. As a matter of fact he was a very talented guard/forward in high school who could've easily gone to a d1 basketball program. He only started playing qb in his junior year.
@@4eightyvolt I like your analysis of the other QB's Darnold compared to. He is unique and is unjustly compared to the past. I watched all of his predecessors; Palmer, Leinert, and Sanchez. The knock on USC and it's failure to produce winning QB's is bunk. Palmer was a winner in AZ and the self-prescribed knock on Leinert was he didn't have the drive to "be" good in the League. Coaches have stated similar observations. He is an incredible PAC 12 color commentator in LA though! Sanchez was instructed by Pete Carroll not to enter the draft (he decided to go anway). Many people feel an additional year in college would have helped him to be better than he was. Your point is accurate though, the Jets wasted his talent.
A lot of the throws he's making in this video would be interceptions in the NFL. His arm strength really doesn't impress me.. reminds me of a poor mans Peyton manning with more strength. I really don't think he will pan out. You should show how he is against pressure. Play the tape against ohio state 😂
Gavin Matherly his offense line was terrible . Put him with that offensive line baker mayfield has at Oklahoma in that offense and he’d shred up defenses
If this man had a line it would be over, he makes the cleanest sideline throws.
Joey Carbone he's accurate and has good pocket presence. People say Rosen is the most seasoned Qb for NFL. But his concussions as a GM would of made me pass . I'm happy with sam.
