Star Rail and ZZZ are probably the most time-friendly of the Gacha games. ZZZ has large grind volumes (100 energy per material grind, you get 10 energy per hour + 60 daily. Takes about 30-50 secs per grind), and Star Rail has autoplay and 60 energy per grind. Compared to Genshin (40 energy per grind, 1-ish minute per round of active combat) and Wuwa (similar, though slightly better than Genshin), you can go casual on HSR and ZZZ with less time combined than either of the other two.
I stopped playing HSR a few weeks ago. Logged in to get Herta, then logged out again. There are a few characters coming up that look interesting, but can’t be bothered to play. Aglaea, Castorice and that one Elysia expy.
Some people do play gacha games as collector experiences and that's valid. There's been so many banger character designs for gacha games (for obvious reasons) but I can't bring myself to pull for characters I'm not going to play personally. When a character has a fire design AND plays well though? Match made in gacha heaven.
I hope Biboo reaches Rinascita in WuWa someday. The potions shopkeeper Rosemary is almost a dead ringer for Bijou, and she even has the same style of bonnet as Bijou’s new years outfit.

It was like that since the Taiwan incident, yes. They just stopped playing any games with Chinese developers with them. There wasn't an explicit rule announced but they just didn't touch anything from China since then. Not to mention some games like Muse Dash decided to push them away by removing Hololive songs in their lineup and Hololive just didn't want to do anything with China anymore. Fubuki stopped streaming Arknights and Marine stopped streaming Azur Lane too, to name a few instances of how Hololive distanced themselves from China. Though right now, the EN girls are playing Marvel Rivals which is made by Netease a Chinese company but it's still only EN who's doing so.
Kobo streamed genshin on bili bili at one point iirc, so i'm not sure it's even a blanket ban unless it's just the ID girls being built different as usual
