Government, such as Washington DC and New York City and the Intelligence Agencies will be hiring even during a recession. New York has the investment banks, which in my opinion need protection.

This is so helpful -- Cyber Security is such a valuable path and I see this within FAANG too. There are very few Security Engineers but they are incredibly important to the company.
Thanks for sharing Sandra and Luca. I was thinking the same in regards to applying in the government, medical, fintech sectors…better chance of getting hired and somewhat of a security in a recession.

Government has job security but they take 12% of your lower than market value salary for your pension on top of the taxes an social security that’s taken out. You’ll see a lot less money overall.
