- This is a one hour documentary about the environmental restoration of the Chattahoochee River. In Columbus, Georgia, two non-functioning Civil War era dams are removed to restore whitewater to an area that has not seen it in more than 150 years. The developers also take the opportunity to tune the rapids for recreation, making the longest urban whitewater course in the world. Winner of two Southeast Regional EMMYs; best documentary and best editing.

It is a beautiful addition to my hometown. “It’s mid-summer in Columbus” AKA “hot as the surface of the sun.”
Paddled it for first time this weekend. Although tie-snake beat me up and snapped my paddle in two pieces, I fell in love with the river, the city and everything about Columbus Ga
Love our backyard Whitewater!!!!
