Yes!! Its mind blowing to me that ppl just jump into engagement/marriage and don't actually talk about these issues beforehand. How do they have such opposite mindsets and just think it'll work itself out 🙃?
@Student HannahBeatrix Valladolid Centuries of people marrying without much to their name, centuries of people staying married, building their lives together. Our society has it so backwards and no wonder divorce rates are so high. "I've got to graduate, get a career, buy a home, and then in my 30's I'll hopefully find a woman that will fit into the life I've already built." This is such backwards thinking. Love doesn't require money, neither does a lifelong commitment to another person. All it requires is just that, commitment. But hey, with divorce so high, you're right... y'all got it all figured out.
By the way, my experience is not every person's experience obviously, but my wife and I met in college, got married 7 months later. After she graduated, she got a $35k/yr job and I was working for $8/hr. We rented a crappy apartment and were broke as jokes. Now we have two kids and collectively make $135k/yr and we have a good laugh about how poor we used to be. And we both know that if the money went away tomorrow, we'd be okay because we've been there before and we'll lean on each other. The problem with a relationship built on financial security, is financial security isn't always there. How will you handle it when it's gone?
@@dirtdiv3r you are lucky to find the rare breed of woman patient enough to rough it out with you through thick and thin. I still stand by my sentiments and this is what I'll tell any young 20 something year old man looking for a relationship. It is most important to build yourself up first and I mean build as in emotionally , financially, spiritually and just learn what being a responsible man is all about. Alot of women out there are not patient enough to rough it with a man as you experienced with your wife. Know of one or two couples who had similar experiences like yours but alot of men out there been used, dumped and had their manhood challenged all because of finances when the man was trying to build himself up. What work and effort you put out as a man will attract a certain type of woman hence why I believe more it's important to build first. If you find that grounded woman like you did on your journey to building yourself, hats off to you!

@Jordan Decker I have a feeling I know who you’re talking about. I can’t remember their name, but if I’m right then yes, they are huge on pandering. I hate how those dudes pander to women. It just hurts men and women, only helps the awful dating coach.
Exactly!!! Dudes get finessed in divorce courts everyday. Modern day marriage is one of the biggest scandals to this date. Men dont benefit from marriage, Its time to wake up.
Actually, it's divorce that gives women security. You see, a married man can get a lower paying job and not go to jail, but if a divorced man did that he would be behind on mandatory payments and that leads to jail.
Exactly the fucking problem with marriage. That's why women wanna rush things after finding a good guy after a year and why they use terms like "lock him down"...they know it benefits the women more when she starts to get bored
Try to find women who make a good amount of money, as much as you or more than you. I make more money than my partner if we get married and get a divorce, I have no reasons to take his money... maybe he will take mine though (that’s a possibility) Anyway I don’t think anyone should be talking everything their ex partners own: it’s a bit stupid. And If you can’t afford to raise kids on your own don’t have them with anyone else because you never know what’s going to happen in the future
Marriage doesn't mean commitment. If we happen to die together, the man can write a will before he dies or give me power of attorney if he is alive and cannot take care of everything himself and vice versa. If we break up and he has become rich while we were together, I expect him to do right by me. And if I am richer, I would do right by him and give him something. Because often times, people forget the support their partners gave them which doesn't involve monetary value.
I actually PERSONALLY agree with the financial clock thing. As a general blanket statement I think it doesn't necessarily apply to every man. But when I got engaged to make my partner happy I could never go through with an actual wedding because I didn't feel like I could focus on being a good husband and DAMN sure not a parent, until I knew I could give my family everything I felt they deserved

Why do you think most married men are miserable. Biggest scam there is , keep your money , hit and quit then move onto the next and keep making money FOR YOURSELF 🤝✌🏾
@@ike9440 Exactly. You aren’t entitled to give any money to a woman unless she working it off. If she’s house wife she works it off watching over your house, cleaning, cooking, and taking care of the kids. If she can’t do any of that shit she needs to pick up a job or it’s a divorce. The point in a relationship is to work together and if she can’t even do that for you she isn’t committed.
The only woman I'm giving money to and support is the mother who raised, support, clothed, sheltered and groomed me to be the man I'm today and no one gonna tell me what to do
In Steve's defense, the "biological clock" for women vs the "financial clock" for men was VERY REAL though. He gave her some game with that part. Hate him or love him, Steve gave her some game with that part.

Been reading comments on his divorces. Almost divorced myself after 32 years. I can tell you that a married man can give you advice on how to stay married...to his wife. A divorced man can share all his relationship screw-ups. Many of you are too hard on poor Steve. Once you are rich and famous (and funny and personable), women throw themselves at you. The average guy is not prepared for that kind of attention.
Men do want to feel they can support a family, my husband changed so much when we got pregnant. He already talked about wanting to be enough for me, I would tell him he was and then it got even more for him adding in another human. I never told him he needed to do certain things, it was pressure he put on himself. He said we deserved it and I feel the same for him. I want to provide for him financially and in the home. I want to make him as comfortable as possible and he wants the same. I think it has to be going both ways. We couldn't wait to get married once we decided to though. I would be worried if my husband wanted to delay wedding.
Exactly. If there is something called equality, then just fucking mean it.Both of u take the responsibility. Gender should only be considered for bedroom and bathroom purposes if EQUALITY exits.
People in general. Not everyone has the same motives, fears, goals, insecurities, etc. Every piece of advice you get has to be taken as a grain of salt.
Very good point. I think for most men though Intimacy, Respect, Faithfulness, No Stress, Support, alil fun, money and they re happy. I feel like women need all these things but more stuff for their happiness like romance, alot more communication, alot more fun, want to feel free, want to feel safe, and a couple more things. And its hard for them to stay stress free. And if they feel like they can get a better husband especially with alot of money they will jump while us men are happy staying where we at as long as she doing everything I mention above. I think a big difference is the age of the two couples. They’re still in their 20s, and the last couple was easily in their 40s. So the advice is fairly sound considering the age
@R.T Baker I see your point. What he said to the younger woman was probably more sound advice for anyone. I guess I’m just saying I understand the contrast between the two.
I dont think it was the same situation, because that guy didnt say he wanted to marry her, yet the younger gal had a guy that made an effort to propose and get married. The Wanting to get married is definitely something you need to have in a serious relationship.
This is a theory: Steve runs a show. A show is made to entertain an audience. His show has a live audience. So the audience at home almost feels inclined to have the same reaction as the live audience. The woman in the last video had a bit of a.... different type of personality. I think Steve knew that if he doesn’t agree with what she was talking about, there would be an issue with her reaction and the audience’s reaction. I mean the guy is surrounded by women so, he read the room and went with the flow. But in this situation this woman is easier to talk to and persuade, and if he can persuade her, he persuades his audience. So that’s why he “reverse uno’d” himself. He’s a show runner who must satisfy his audience. But this all just a theory.
@@biggemmy They were complaining that Steve gives inconsistent advice. If you agree with 1 thing he said, cool, but sometimes he be saying something completely different, and you should wonder which of the 2 he really believes.

This the hottest take right here!!
Fact
@Pro Justice still dreams that are not set in reality your biological clock is your clock not ours
Anytime a woman demands of me to be engaged when I know we are not ready emotionally and financially wise I'm running.
Emotionally, yes. Financially is irrelevant.

Men don't go to Steve Harvey for advice lol
Women: Marriage Gives Me Security.
Men: Marriage Takes My Security Away.
I make more money than my partner
if we get married and get a divorce, I have no reasons to take his money... maybe he will take mine though (that’s a possibility)
Anyway I don’t think anyone should be talking everything their ex partners own: it’s a bit stupid.

If she’s house wife she works it off watching over your house, cleaning, cooking, and taking care of the kids. If she can’t do any of that shit she needs to pick up a job or it’s a divorce. The point in a relationship is to work together and if she can’t even do that for you she isn’t committed.

Steve is perfect example for phase, "Everyone has a price, just a matter of how much$$".
She wants to know what her ex is thinking. So instead of speaking to her ex, she asks Steve Harvey. Because.

Stop thinking women should just settle for not getting what they want because someone’s “a good guy.”
@@PrincessZaire100 Maybe he didn't have an exact date of when, so couldn't answer. Plus she has been ignoring him so maybe he has stuff they need to talk about.
@@anthonydavies8318 dude, he did that when a date was already set and things were PAID FOR. I’m pretty sure if he gave her a date or a specific time frame, she wouldn’t be giving him the cold shoulder. She canceled because you can only stall for so long before you can’t get your deposits back when it comes to weddings
