Im no expert on family relationships. Im lucky enough to have a happy united family..... but I get the most distinctive feeling that Lady Howland is not overly gone on Lady Tavistock...... lady Howland is now the Duchess and lady Tavistock is now the dowager Duchess Id say its interesting every single day😁
My grandfather, while poor, had the great fortune of having a Jesuit priest as a cousin and he educated mt grandfather privately after he went to work all day at age 14 to support his family. My grandfather subsequently became a self made millionaire in the 1940's. He sent all 7 of his children to good private schools and university, including his 3 daughters. Some went to law school, one to an Ivy League business school. My well educated aunts were a force helping my father run the family company. I, as third generation, attended two of the most famous, highly regarded universities in America. My father always said that the best education you can provide your children should be your goal, it's the most important thing, allowing them to think and grow, along with, of course, your love. My father has 4 children, one son and four daughters. We were all equally educated at good private schools, the best universities (because you did not come home to my father with less than perfect scores) and master's degrees, all of us. He even sent us girls to a school that specificity did not teach typing, we were meant to be leaders, not the secretary. My Grandpa and Dad were awesome.
Lady T didn't have a thorough education, and it worked out for her, as it should for other girls.... providing they're posh n' pretty and marry a phenomenally wealthy Duke, which allows 'one' to have very little education, but also run a multi million dollar stud farm, etc. EYE ROLL.
What constitutes a "full education" in your mind? Going to university should serve a specific purpose, not just fulfilling societal expectations, or killing some spare time, which is the case more often than not.
