I just bought this same model and it works GREAT! Using the gas station air pumps are a real pain. You have to first take off all the caps to each tire because it's game of beat the clock! You only have so many minutes before the machine stops. This Astro Tire Inflator is FASTER than gas station machines and FAR easier. It shuts itself off when it gets to the desired psi. At the gas stations I have to keep taking it off and checking again with my digital air pressure device. This elminates the need for that. Thanks for posting this!
The hose has a screw-on Schrader valve fitting, the short extension has a lever chuck type fitting (quicker, but more prone to leaking, and the small 2 thread screw-on adapter is for Schrader to Presta (an EU type bike valve). Max recommended run time is 15 minutes and it claims to have an overheat shut-off. If there is any sign of overheating, stop and let it cool down for at least 10 minutes. The cord is only 10 feet long, but you can always buy a 12v extension power cord (able to handle at least 10 amps) if a longer cord is needed for your vehicle. They recommend having the engine running. This may make inflating a bit faster, but a car battery in good condition should be OK for small jobs like topping off a couple of tires.
I just bought one. Can't figure out why my tire, which is currently at 16psi (needs to be 45psi) won't fill. The pump turns on for about a second, registers 88psi, then slowly counts down a half PSI at a time until it reaches zero. It never cycles on, even though I have it set at 45psi.
The ones with the battery pack come also with the cable, so you can always use it with engine turned on. It is a no brainer, the ones with the battery pack are better.
In order to keep this thing for a pretty good while, I would suggest using a zip tie to hold the air hose in place, so it’s not always moving around, and bending.That’s how they break. Even though this one seems to be well built, you just never know. I have had a couple break on me. Once they do, it’s pretty much a wrap for the entire machine, unless you want to get creative, and try to save yourself some money, by fixing it yourself. But that also requires opening the machine up. Not an easy task. Especially if you don’t have everything you need for the repair.
The cord on mine needs replacing but I can't figure out how to dissemble it. After I remove all the screws, including one under one of the labels, it won't come apart. Any thoughts?

You didn’t show how to put the thing onto the tire. The first time I tried 2 years ago and I need it today it took the air out of my tire. So I have this but I don’t like it at all.

TIP: Never run your air pump more than a few minutes at a time or you will over heat the motor and it will be dead.
I just tried inflating 4 tires on my van and hopefully I didn’t burn out the motor as the last tire wasn’t adding air😩

It happened to me. This device blew out both of my 12 V cigarette outlets.

You do NOT need a cigarette lighter, you can use the 12v accessory outlet, unless Audi was too cheap to install one!
