Yup I needed a nice pretty, yet somewhat sad song. Lost a pet this week - a little sun conure... She loved dancing to some OCR's. Don't think she would have particularly enjoyed this one, but I know I certainly do. :)
The guitar section starting at the 2min mark had a great deal of character that really added a 5th dimension to the piece. Each section was unique and interesting, but with a coherent mood matching that of the source that glued everything together nicely. Great listen!
One of the more underrated Metroid tracks. For being the very first fully underwater area in a Metroid game, they nailed Maridia's atmosphere and music. Beautiful yet terrifying, perfectly reflecting the serene but deadly nature of the deep sea caverns. This remix is immediately going into my favorite Metroid remixes 👌
