Gawd damn Steve, the way you broke down the element and art of grief and the real life implications via the means of that Sick 6 visuals got me in my feels.....thank you.
That RAW felt special. The Wyatt debht, Seth returning, and also the Bron/Sheamus match and post-match chaos, the Liv and Dom segment. I love how WWE feels important again. It's the sort of stuff that made it enjoyable to watch as a kid but now it's on another level entirely. Gotta thank Trips and the entire team for what they're putting out weekly!

This is by far the best and must nuanced commentary on Uncle Howdy segment and then the recitation of the Shatter lyrics brought tears to my eyes. What an incredible layered tribute to Bray/Wyndam’s vision
Episodes like these are why I love you guys.
The breakdown of what Bo might emotionally be dealing with character-wise is so much fun to think about. As someone who’s still trying to process losing my dad and my grandfather, it’s interesting to look at the Uncle Howdy character in that light.
Shatter is such a great piece of music.
It was so hauntingly beautiful how they just played that one, single piano chord the ENTIRE time…

There were some blown-up pictures that actually had Uncle Howdy and the group lit up with just their shadow looking down at the ring. It happened once during the Seth Rollins segment and the other was the group looking at Otis and Chad I believe. If you look to the upper right at the arena's exit door.
Whenever someone from the WWE roster mentions how everyone backstage feels so welcoming and close, and work together as a team, I see this Raw as the best example of that. The JD/Liv stuff mixed with the LWO stuff, Alpha Academy Drama bleeding into Sami’s character arc because of his past with the Bloodline, and the treatment of the way the Wyatt Sick6 debuted to make it great. I really enjoy it, such a tight knit approach. Refreshing.
You guys are the only pro wrestling podcast I listen too. I couldn’t imagine how negative others are, cause you guys give a fair shake on about everything you speak on. Don’t change for the negative Nellys guys.

It's kinda basic TV storytelling to time it like this. This is exactly how you'd edit the end of a TV show. had they done it earlier it would have been proof of poor pacing.
They learned their lesson after missing the Dom/Liv kiss
My current theory is that the backstage bit with Drew was prerecorded. Because after he leaves the ring and goes up the ramp, it goes to a commercial, then it shows us what happened during the break. So, they could've been setting up at that time or already did. We just didn't see it. I would be shocked if it was prerecorded, though.
Damn the process of losing someone that Steve talked about was on point. Lost my mom last November and i couldnt do memorial asap. So took my time and did it on her Birthday weeknd in January. Hopefully no one but if you are going through something similar, please take your time and heal. Dont have to do everything asap ❤

I know there's the whole "at some point you have to run the ropes" argument, but realistically they don't have to wrestle all that often. Even when they do, they can gimmick the shit out of it to make it work. Much like how Kane became some people's favorite wrestler in the Attitude Era, Uncle Howdy could likely become a kid's favorite while they're growing up.
I was skeptical about this when rumors of this was discussed. After last night, I am intrigued and willing to see where this goes. Hopefully it does not disappoint.

And Nikki Cross was absolutely terrifying. The single tracking shot was insane, and the level of violence they portrayed was straight out of a high-budget horror film.
They truly are letting Taylor take the reins on this and are going to make Bray proud.

I hadn't watched an episode of raw since mania. But I heard that the Uncle, howdy countdown ended to night. So I figured I'd tune in. It was one of the sickest things I've seen in WWE. It was awesome

I will say that the icing on the cake for the new day part is that the lower third didn't say "the new day" it said "Kofi Kingston WITH Xavier Woods".
Do you think that Alexa could be the "higher power" at some point for the W6? Being that character had a metamorphosis that was never resolved maybe she took on more of bray/fiend power? Just a thought?

I’ve been listening to shatter ever since he debuted the song and the lyrics to it are so damn good. And like you said in hindsight, they are very powerful. I felt the lyrics might’ve been sort of telling where the story would go but man, it’s an entirely different thing now and I can’t wait to see what they do.

Yo I haven't heard anyone mention this but when Steve was saying "resembling grief" I immediately thought " what if the 5 members of Wyatt sicks that are not Bo will somehow be manifestations of the 5 stages of grief with Alexa coming in as Sister Abigail representing "acceptance" later on. If they manage to somehow book and sell this notion, this will be the greatest story ever told in wrestling.
I was kind of mixed on the Wyatt6 originally. I was happy they were finally here, but I wasn’t sure how well they would fit in with the rest of the show.
However, listening to these two brainstorm all the potential storylines and ideas, it actually got me way more excited! I know that none of them will pan out, but it’s still fun to imagine.

I think that the bray glove will be use like when the fiend or bray was "listening" to his hurt/heal glove. Like if Howdy is about to do something crazy or violent, he puts his right hand on his ear to get bray's point of view or some form of guidance
On Friday they're going to zoom in on Punks face, he's gonna look straight down the barrel in the hard cam and say he's cleared and one millisecond later his whole face is going to go sideways as drews boot hits the side of his cheek as he delivers the most devastating claymore of all time and the best storyline of the year is finally going to get physical.
You guys hated raw so much you stopped live streaming reactions afterwards, I remember articles thinking you were stopping the raw reviews altogether.

I feel like they went with Nikki to create a story with Alexa, being as Alexa turned on Nikki to join Bray. Now, its flipped.
They made sure that Chad Gable was recognizable during the massacre scene. Maybe the new Wyatt Family didn't do Chad in...it could have been the Alpha Academy or Brom Stroman who was once a part of the Wyatt Family....?
The way you broke down the Wyatt stuff was great, i dont think will fully go that, but great. Not my bag but that makes it weird of the Joker stuff. Yes was crazy off his meds in the way you described. I think it was more the mental health of stuff n how trama can affect ppl. To where hes not a bad guy the systems around created a problem but no help

Idea on the table here:
Chad Gable wins Money In The Bank.
Gunther wins at summerslam against Priest. Priest loses after passing out via choke so he still looks strong. After Damien loses, Judgement Day come out and turn on drew specifically Finn. Sets up finn vs damien for Bash in Berlin. You could always set up Ilja as a challenger and he and gunther have an all out war at Bash in Berlin. Gunther manages to put him down after a classic in front of an expectedly hot crowd. Gunther and Ilja trade looks of respect and shake hands.
Gunther is from Vienna but had lived in Germany for years, it is a bit of home turf for him. He has his family in the front row. And as the logo pops up at the bottom corner. Chad Gable's music hits. The man who couldn't take the ic title from gunther, the man who was mocked and embarassed by gunther in front of his wife and child. Gable is out for his revenge and comes in instense and grinning. The crowd erupts in boos at Gable. Gunther not backing down goes back in the ring after being with his family. You could give it a a good 5 minutes, milk it until Gable hits a chaos theory german for the win.
Now you have Gunther chasing for the title and eventually getting it back from Gable after Gable goes on a little terror with it.
There was a Bunny shoved into a shoe, behind Chad Gable when he was left alone. Clear as day behind his head area. There’s also a clear as day brown jacket behind where Otis was standing, when he moves away the jacket has the Fiend face on it.
I think it was Braun Strowman who was laid out backstage near the stage hand with blood splatter all over the place. Makes sense as they had a match earlier.
I think they’re already starting to recruit new members.

They should also target the other factions judgement day, final testament and the bloodline to prove their dominance and prove
that they are not to be taken lightly.
I think with the way the crowd is starting to get into io shirai matches with chanting this is awesome a lot. Or poping for her high fly offense, cool reversals or everytime she shows off it might be time to turn her face or go solo. I didn't watch JD a lot into now but I was very aware from like 2018 to 2022 by clips that he was very warm & cold on wwe, mainly cold. And was positive for most of aew from 2019 to 2022. But i have seen on my twitter on the for you tab that he has been getting shit on by the pro aew & very anti wwe counts lately for not being into the product within the last year. Which is fine because I have not liked a lot of aew from like very late 2022 from 2024 either. I honestly agree with most of his criticisms.

😂 yes, I remember the days you guys was mad miserable by WWE output. While I do not think you guys was the "overly" types when it came to AEW, there was a hell of a lot of wrestling UA-camrs who at times appeared to go way over the top with the AEW praise. But, just like how AEW got overly praised, the reverse was always going to happen.....
