I cried watching this movie,it explains my whole 10yrs of marriage, I will cook,clean,wash,take care of the children and still go to work contributing more than 50% of the income in the house and yet,I was treated like a piece of shit from the man I called husband,beaten at the slightest provocation,my inlaws(all women) were not left out, they supported their brother even when he did so wrong....I finally had enough when my BP was so high I was bleeding from the nose.its been 3yrs since my divorce and I must confess,life has been amazing..women should learn to take out time to fill their cups because you can't pour from an empty cup.....
Lets stop asking if such mother inlaws does exist,instead let us all be such mother in laws to our sons wives when they are married and the world will be a better place👌

This movie made me to cry a lot because this is just me. I got married and from the first pregnancy to my fourth and last child I have no help, right from the hospital bed immediately after delivery is where my stress starts because my parents are late including my mother in-law so no one to do omugwu for me in fact I single handedly took care of myself and my new borns until now that they are of age a little, and have stayed alone with no help at home. I will work and work and work yet my husband will be calling me lazy on top of it. He doesn't raise a finger in assisting me or to even get me a help and he is against getting a house help. Infact it's been hell but I thank God who is my strength and helper . This is over 10 years now and my kids have become my helpmates ,I feel a little relieved. Uju is lucky to have an amazing mother in-law . I pray that God opens the eyes of some of this men to realize that their wives are humans and need all the love and support from them because this can be so frustrating . Nice movie and kudos to you guys ❤️❤️🥰

Also, each woman has her (reasonable) threshold of stress. It takes at least two (then a village) to raise kids. I’m not married, but I saw my father help a lot. Sometimes, we would tell my mom to fake fatigue so that my dad would cook for us and gist with us in the kitchen. Gender roles have been made fluid over the years. It doesn’t diminish no one’s importance or relevance. Men have to unlearn some things and then educate themselves on things that happen to women during pregnancy and after birth.

This is a good movie. Her husband didn't realise her struggles but he eventually learnt. What an awesome story. The mother-in-law's role is the shining example of the story line. The was she treated Uju made me think she was her mother. It's only at the end of the story that we realize that she is the mother of the husband. If more mother-in-laws assumed this character's role, many marriages would be saved.
The storyline depict exactly what l went through in my marriage 😭😭😭, l was a student by then at the same time taking care of four kids including a baby, aside all these, he was expecting me to run things fast like a machine. Insulting me here and there. 😭😭😭😭😭hmmmmmm, I wish every man will understand what women go through. It takes two to build a better home not an individual.
This was so good. The lesson that was taught was so on point. Unfortunately, most of us don't have that good mom or family member to empathize and help. He, Kenneth, played the part of good man (that suits him so well) but a selfish one nonetheless. Sometimes, they have to be put in our shoes to understand, and most times, that lesson is learned unfortunately via illness or death for them to get it. A lot of men need to watch this movie...especially the so-called macho men or the ones with that inflated egos, regarding the roles played in the home. Relationships do not work nor last with that cave-man 40s, 50s, 60s & 70s mentality. I promise you it will never work unless they learn to work together. Great acting from Ego, and I always love to see Chioma Nwosu. Kudos to the little girl who played the daughter. She was so cute. Great movie..❤

Timely and Life Lesson film! Amazing film, cast, directing and production! Kenneth is such a talented artist, this role was perfect for him! Ego is always such a great artist, well played character! 55minutes into this movie nd am soo happy, the fact that even when her daughter wasnt talking she understood her silence. Asides the movie Vanity, this mom made me teary. As women we should always look out for ourselves.

this was one of the best nigerian movies i’ve in awhile, the acting was great, even down to the baby even crying at the right time, and the two little ones did great as well thumbs up to them. I also love the fact, unlike all the others african movies i’ve watched the mother-in-law treated her daughter in law with love and respect like her own and not come to cause more discord by taking he son’s side, but bring a coming together. love it

What an awesome story. The mother-in-law's role is the shining example of the story line. The was she treated Uju made me think she was her mother. It's only at the end of the story that we realize that she is the mother of the husband. If more mother-in-laws assumed this character's role, many marriages would be saved.

The storyline depict exactly what l went through in my marriage 😭😭😭, l was a student by then at the same time taking care of four kids including a baby, aside all these, he was expecting me to run things fast like a machine. Insulting me here and there. 😭😭😭😭😭hmmmmmm, I wish every man will understand what women go through. It takes two to build a better home not an individual.

This was so good. The lesson that was taught was so on point. Unfortunately, most of us don't have that good mom or family member to empathize and help. He, Kenneth, played the part of good man (that suits him so well) but a selfish one nonetheless. Sometimes, they have to be put in our shoes to understand, and most times, that lesson is learned unfortunately via illness or death for them to get it. A lot of men need to watch this movie...especially the so-called macho men or the ones with that inflated egos, regarding the roles played in the home. Relationships do not work nor last with that cave-man 40s, 50s, 60s & 70s mentality. I promise you it will never work unless they learn to work together. Great acting from Ego, and I always love to see Chioma Nwosu. Kudos to the little girl who played the daughter. She was so cute. Great movie..❤
