There’s actually not to much of a secret to it, I just love making beats and try make one everyday! After doing it for a long time you also get quicker at it. Something that does really help speed up my process is having go-to guitar mixing presets, drum kits and mastering presets so I can get an idea going quickly. And yeah when you’re doing it daily you get a lot fast at it over time and start to refine your process!
Something else that helps is making loops for yourself in advance or collaborating with other producers and using their loops, that can really speed up the writing process and often inspire something completely new
Good stuff, as usual. But you'd probably increase your sales by quite a bit if you included a "bridge" in the beat. The number of hit songs written with just a few repeated chords are very few! A "bridge" is essential. But if you're making enough cash from the beats, do you care about improving the quality? Probably not!
Really appreciate the feedback! Usually I do put in a bridge in most beats, although I also like to sometimes try change up the arrangement so there is a bit of variation so it’s not always the same
@@inbloombeats Slowing the beat down and cutting the percussion for a few seconds is not a "bridge". (You probably know this very well). There are stats somewhere that give the % of mass-selling songs with one chord, or only two (like Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams") So, when I hear 'beats' being punted to guys who don't really understand what quality song writing is about, I feel like somebody is being scammed. You could do better, I'm sure. If I downloaded this beat, for example, and added my own bridge, I'd have a posse of lawyers breathing down my neck. So, why bother? I'll just wait till beat writers wake up to the missed opportunity -- and add a "bridge".
