- Fluffy and yummy tasting, this is the same delicious puto recipe we had before, in a better quality video =)
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder (you may increase this to 2 tablespoons if doesn't rise properly or if it still too dense)
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 3/4 cups water

Ang sarap po nito... na try ko ng gawin, nagbawas lang ako ng sugar kasi ayaw ko ng matamis, ginawa kong 1/2 cup lang masarap parin. Nagustuhan ng anak ko kaya nagluto ako nung birthday ko and lahat ng bisita ko nagustuhan din nila lalo mga bata... Thanks for posting your video, very helpful! God Bless po!

Rai, some of them were a gift from a friend in Japan, the others I bought sa Japanese store dito sa US. You can use yung small cookie cutters na siguradong available sa SM or any other stores na nagbebenta ng mga cooking gadgets, or kung wala talaga pwede na rin yung plastic na pang cut ng clay na laruan ng mga kids. Just make sure that you only use it for cutting cheese. :)

Alice, happy to know na nagustuhan ito ng mga friends mo and also your hubby. these doesn't last long, mabilis talaga masira ang puto, ang gawin mo is made-to-order lang, cook it the day before the delivery date para fresh lagi. thanks! :)

daphne usually ang yeast kasi ginagamit sa baked goodies like breads, sa puto baking powder kadalasan ang ginagamit natin. try mo muna itong recipe using baking powder then kung gusto mo na yeast ang gamitin pwede mo itry but I don't guarantee the results. thanks! :)
sakuraku try mo muna gawin ito using plain water, I guarantee you masarap ang lasa. I tried using milk in place of water pero sa akin parang tumigas ng kaunti yung kinalabasan unlike pag water lang ang ginamit, malambot ang end product.

pwede rin siguro, medyo magbabago nga lang ng kaunti ang flavor for sure, try using margarine instead :)

any plastic cups na pwedeng gamitin sa pagluluto na hindi matutunaw pwedeng gamitin Joanna, even aluminum pans :)
I use a small plastic spatula that I bought at Dollar Tree here in the US to pry the puto out of the pan, but since we brushed the mini muffin pans with butter, it will be easy to remove the puto. you may use a small thin bladed knife to help you remove it from the pan. Make sure that the puto has cooled a little before removing them though. :)
you can add flavorings Yzah, I just didn't add any kasi medyo mahirap maghanap dito noon, God bless din :)

Iba kasi ang recipe for rice puto CJ, it is more complicated to make than the one we have here. I prefer using water instead of milk, I've tried using milk at sa tingin ko ay medyo matigas ang kinalabasan nung puto kaysa pag water lang ang gamit. I try mo muna itong recipe na ito then if you don't like it saka mo gamitan ng milk so you can see for yourself which is better. Sana magustuhan mo ito. :)
Ginamit ko po para sa purple ay red food coloring tapos dinagdagan ko po ng blue food coloring. Salamat po sa video! I'm a new subscriber. Mwah!
Lola, mas flavorful kasi ang butter instead of oil, you may substitute margarine instead, but don't use oil. hope this helps!
yes pwedeng pwede, di ko lang nilagyan kasi medyo mahirap maghanap ng ube at pandan dito :)
Hazel, kung di umalsa the problem is with your baking powder. Pwedeng expired na, or kulang ang nilagay mo (did you use a teaspoon instead of a spoon when measuring?) Do check again. hopefully the next time maging success na ang gagawin mong puto :)

I'm not sure why Nita, di kaya kulang pa sa luto kaya ganun? Or maybe the flour that you used? If makati, then maybe may problem na ingredients ginamit mo. I never had any problem whenever I make these. :)
try the cassava cake too (it's probably one of the best recipes around), the sapin-sapin, bibingkang malagkit and other kakanin (rice cakes), your wife is lucky to have you as a husband. Please send my regards to her. You're always welcome :)

may video na tayo ng siomai, kaya lang luma na so medyo magulo pa, di pa kasi ako masyadong sanay noon gumawa ng video at mag-edit eh, ngayon e medyo improving na kaya mas maayos na ang videos. Hayaan mo at pag may time ako e gagawan ko ng bagong video ang siomai, thanks ha :)
I think you can use baking flour but I always use all-purpose or plain flour. Pwede mo kalahatiin yung ingredients kung gusto mo muna itry ito. Good luck :)

I have not tried making these sa oven, laging through steaming ko ito niluluto, you can buy yung steamers na maliliit lang, yung ipinapatong lang sa wok :)

I used mini muffin pans for this Rose Ann, but you may use any mold you like.
Riza, pag di gaanong malakas ang apoy na gamit mo di magkacrack yung ibabaw, medyo nangiti ako sa comment mo kasi yung iba naman nagrereklamo at nagkacrack daw yung ibabaw ng puto na ginagawa nila :)

I have not used gata pag gumagawa ako ng puto Jasmine, try mo muna gawin using the ingredients listed baka sakaling magustuhan mo, then if you really want to saka ka magsubstitute ng gata next time na gumawa ka. You can gauge which one you like better :)

I have not tried making this using evap milk, I've used fresh milk though and I don't like it kasi parang mas matigas yung kinalabasan ng puto pagkaluto. I now make this with just plain water. You can try using water but I can't guarantee the results kung ano. Let me know about the result kung magugustuhan mo pag evap ang ginamit mo ha, thanks!
