This summer's been terribly boring so I decided to rewatch Yellowstone and break down every single episode in seasons one and two, because, why not?
Thank you. I watched some eps in the background and had trouble following although I do really like the show. Please do more.
Will do!
Then you better call Saul !
Glad I wasn't the only one confused!
Not at all! I had to rewatch it 🤦🏾♀️🤣 this recap is golden 🥰
Wasn't confusing at all
@@MrNH718 so why are you here?
@@ahairysituation9337 I like hearing other people's take on things I watch
Oh, I thought it was just me! 😅
Helpful. Just began watching this show and there's a lot to take in with that jam packed episode one.
Glad to hear it!
I don't think I've ever seen a first episode throw so much fuckin context at the audience all at once.
Just started this series as a result of recommendation from my son. Great job on the recap! It cleared up a few details I missed. This will give me a better foundation for watching further episodes. I will look for more of your recaps!
I just started Yellowstone and found your channel. I wanted to make sure I caught everything during that first episode. So I used your recap for reference. Great job recapping everything. I just subscribed as well.
Welcome aboard!
Thanks this helped me so much I was lost but now I’m found
Glad I could help Ashton!
Thanks! , I watch the first episode a year ago, so needed To refresh a few things before going to next episode
Thank you for this video! I just started watching it today & I was confused, you straighten me out, lol!!!😂😂😂
Thank you very much for this video. Episode 1 was very confisung and i did't fully get the idea after watching it twice (the second time 2 days after the first time) .So i decided to start resaerching on the internet to understand everything about it and this video did the job! I now know exactly know what is going on and i can move on to the next episode and i will watch your videos for now on if needed.
I just watched Episode 1 and found myself a bit confused, also, so this helped. The scene where Lee was killed was so dark that I couldn't tell what the heck was going on and how Lee got killed. I might have to re-watch Episode 1 to make sure I am totally catching the details.
Lee and Rip looked so similar. I was confused how Lee was still alive in epsidode 2 haha.
Thankgod i was confused what was happening.. now i know the plot..
Thanks a lot
Thank you ! Keep them coming 😊
I'm a huge fan of country music so I started looking for country shows lol. Just finished the first episode. THANKS for explaining it!
What an amazing video! Thank you
Thank you for clarifying the characters!
Excellent recap. Thank you.
thanks for the recap - it helped a lot!
Love your rechaps!
Thank you so much
Thank you! Cleared up a couple of things I didn’t understand.
Thanks so much. Makes a lot more sense now.
Thank you!!
Very helpful to get me going thank you
Excellent review. Concise and covered all the main points. Very helpful in expectations for what's to come.
Just wanted to say that all my season 1 episode videos are just simple recaps. Season 3 & 4 episode videos are review and recaps so there are more opinions in those. Additionally, my overall season recaps are also just recaps. You might notice some changes, that's why I wanted to comment here.
Thx for this
Just started watching this series. This recap helped alot. Thank you for the recap!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for your thorough breakdown, I was so confused while watching the episode
Yesssss! Clarification!
Tha k you so much for this. I appreciate the work you put in on this video. I’m going to watch each of these.
Glad you like them!
Great Summer project, clear summary!
Thanks i needed that i hope all the rest of the episodes ain't as confusing but if they are ill be back to you channel for a recap
Thank you
Dear Lord thanks for this! I can go into episode 2 without being completely lost.
Thanks bro 🙏 🙌
Thank You and perfect timing! I missed Yellowstone during the summer so I just started to rewatch the season's again. I really enjoyed your season 3 recaps so thanks again! BEST show on tv!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the summary. I have watched the first episode a couple of times but I didn’t understand all of it. Your video has helped immensely, although there are many things I don’t know how we are supposed to understand. I certainly missed many things you identified in your video.
I wanted to get into Yellowstone but the first episode confused me.. Thanks for the recap! It was very helpful
Thank you for doing this. It really helps me catch up just beginning this Yellowstone journey. I started with watching 1883 in its entirety & then devouring each 1923 episode as it airs unfortunately I will be waiting until February 2 for episode 5 but your channel is here to tide me over & I appreciate that🙏🏼
No problem! Glad to help!
Same here
@@BenjaTV February 5th cannot get here fast enough for me😩 I’m ready & so ready for your next 1923 YTvid for episode 5🫡 And being that it’s episode “5” I wonder if that’s anything to do w/ the show returning on Feb 5th🤔 Now just my inner conspiracy theorist brainstorming here but… we’re now in 2023 & hence the show 1923, we’re now at 100yrs later🤯 So did they wait until after the New Year to schedule the show’s retuning episode 5 specifically choosing the 5th of February instead of 5th of January because it wasn’t a Sunday? So I’m wondering if &/or why that’s symbolic?🧐Or it could be nothing more than to get fans like me to think way too much into it… I just couldn’t help myself to share that with you🤷🏼♀️😅🤦🏼♀️ (SRY&TY for reading this long reply)
@@soflovixen Haha, no problem! But I don't think the date has a special meaning. Maybe they were behind on post-production and this was how much time they needed to do the last four episodes.
This was so helpful thanks!
Glad to be of service!
Great recap!
Thanks, Ben!
I'm just now starting this show, and had a few questions after the first episode. You cleared this up nicely, thanks!
Thank you for watching, Jenna!
Appreciate the recap. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. im lerning english by watching this series. Thank you for the recap
Thank you.....I now know what is taking place.
Thx!
thank you, caught Yellowstone on Episode 2 and found your video which explained the start so I now know who is who! Thanks again
Love this show
Thank you I just started watching the first one and already lost
Thanks! Just started watching and wanted some clarification :3
Glad I could help!
I’m trying so hard to get into the show so I appreciate this..
Thanks for the recap because I was totally lost and kept thinking 🤔 maybe there's some episodes that are missing and has nit been uploaded. There was so much going on in one episode, let alone the START of it.. that I was so confused. So yeah, thank you for the recap
Thanks
Never seen it but now im thinking about it
Thanks for this explanation. I was pretty lost in some ways!😂
Cant wait for season 4
Good recap. Just atarted watching the show and i really didn't catch many of the characters names therw were too many of them. Your review cleared ut up
Wow. I forgot so much of that.
There was that much going on in season 1 episode 1 , I actually watched this episode a while back and never go into it, because there was soo much going on, it was only clear to me that there was the duttons and Indians fighting about land and cattle, this kind of simplified things for me and now that I kind of understand as to what’s going on I feel like I can continue the show hoping it’ll grow on me…
Did I write this…
Same! Exactly how I felt!
Me too! From the first episode, I couldn’t understand why everyone is so gaga over this show. Your concise recap helped so much. Maybe now I will watch episode 2. Thanks!
I was lost when u watched the first episode as well. Maybe I will rewatch
So in the dark during the cattle retrieval scene, was Kayce trying to help his family or the reservation initially when we see him trying to move cattle? Couldn’t tell if he was trying to keep them on the reservation or push them back out to Dutton land.
Thanks!
Kayce's working with the people on the res during that scene, trying to keep the cattle on the res.
Episode 1 was a great intro into this ranch cowboy drama, although it went too fast for my taste. Drama means things need to happen on the slow side. This episode was borderline action movie
I agreew
I've watched all episodes 3 times.. learn more I missed the first time...
Thank you so much for explaining this show because it was literally everywhere and they DID NOT explain or tell us important things. The show is boring because of it.
Thank you for your breakdown of the episode! I missed a couple of valuable tidbits of information!! I do have one question - who is the third person that was killed the same night as Lee and Monica's brother?
There was only 2 people killed that night
@@nfwchopped42 The news report says three, though only two are being investigated as murders.
What I dont understand was why johnn needed the river to not flow to jenkin's land and prevent him from budi g the dam?
I thought there was a scene where John wanted to build a dam too. Is it because jenkins Landis further up the river than John's so John wouldn't be able to build a dam if jenkin builds it?
Also I think kacey wasn't shooting his brother in law to protect his brother. He shot him because his brother in law tried to kill him too, hi brother immediately went down after 1 shot. Kacey came in and kick the brother in law but he got up and tried to shoot kacey. But I think they were in the reservation land so maybe it was trespassing or something which makes it complicated, otherwise it's just self defense.
The dam would have been built downstream of the Dutton ranch. It would cause flooding and erosion problems on a small part of the ranch. But it's clear John doesn't care about that; he only cares about stopping the development from being built.
Thanks because I ended the episode like wtf just happened
I think I missed the part where the paradise developer put out a hit on John. I read the opening scene as an actual accident and not a deliberate attack, and John still thinks he is owed a horse because the truck was there carrying equipment to build the development. Is there a clearer statement somewhere else in this episode, or is this detail from a later episode?
Also, the developer's talk of migration to new land being in our DNA was a sales pitch to a potential home buyer; I'm not sure it should be taken as an honest belief since he's saying whatever he needs to to make a sale. He's there to make money, after all.
Also also, an important detail about the feud over who owns the cattle is that the Indians (self-described) seem to have cut the fence to enable the cattle to wander into their land. It seems like the whole situation was deliberately engineered by the new tribe chairman, though maybe there'll be more details in later episodes.
This is just a modern day version of Bonanza.
They said that 3 people were killed in the first incident at the end of the episode.. but we only saw two people die.. lee and Monica's brother.. who else got shot?
The big rig driver maybe
I watched the spin-offs first to understand the timeline better and thn decided to start yellowstone, the spin-off shows don't seem to be complicated and have a very straight forward story and are quiet comprehensive yellowstone on the other hand needs a little explaining to understand the background and characters... Overall although the show has violent themes, the scenes where they are out in the nature like the first episode fishing part are so soothing and thereputic.
Who was with the mother when Beth went for help, Kayce or Jaime?
@Donna Springer It was Kayce.
👍🏻
Thank you! Was confused but now I won’t be!! Yes I know it’s 2023 don’t hate me guys lol
Glad to help, Yaz!
Set the Speed to 1.5
Where were the police lol
Put to 1.5x speed for normal
As much as I enjoy watching I can't stand some of the dumbest scenes that are so far from any reality. Example
The breech birth scene. Wonder how many have ever seen a birth of any calf that jumped up and ran. Not only that but became a 3 month old in size like in 5 seconds.
Broooo i was confused because the men looked the same. I didn't know who was a son and what not
I’m confused about the part where John gets Buffalo delivered and then he and rainwater watch a white man dressed as an Indian hunt one of the Buffalo as if it is actually “hunting”. Can someone explain how this came about amidst the cattle drama?
I wonder how nobody blamed John for his son's death, cause afterall his son died pretty much for nothing... he died for just playing a game of cowboys and indians. John said he didn't need the cattle
Jamie and his real father are very evil
Never watched this, someone suggested it because Jennifer is in it. But who does she play in it?
She shows up in season three as 'Teeter'
Are you Turkish?
Yes.
@@BenjaTV Gerçekten teşekkür ederim. Diziyi anlamamıza yardımın oldu. Sevgiler!!
@@dobikle Önemli değil, ben teşekkür ederim izlediğiniz için.
Far as land being woven in our ( Americans? ) dna. One of the foundational aspects of this free society is our ability to own the land beneath us. Property Rights. Not sure if that's available anywhere else like ours. There's "land use rights" and other named pseudo ownership in other countries and "leased" land, but ownership of the land like in the USA doesn't exist. So from that standpoint it IS woven into our dna.
The only error we've made is allowing non-Americans to buy and own land here.
Im part wat through ep.1. and its boring.
Im peeved off. I paid bloody $50, for a stan card because that was the only channel showing it . Stan doesn't except sny of my google cards or money in my play store google account.
Nor could i find any $20/$30 stan pre paid cards...
So had to purchase a $50 card just to try and watch Yellowstone.
I watched that beth lady in some you tube advertisements..
But kevin kostners lack of lusture sortof ruins it from the get go.. hes a big actor he could have put a bit if effort into it
Thank you
Welcome!
