Nice to see a town that still retains most of the character it had in the 19th century.

Beverley is 9 miles from Hull. There's a great fish & chip shop in Toll Gavel. I remember when the Corn Exchange was a cinema many moons ago. My Maternal Grandparents are buried in Queensgate Cemetery, Beverley. Thanks for sharing James.

Thank you, James, for another *SanityBatteryCharger* down Memory Lane (to me, AKA Love Street), when my Hull-born Darling Mary and I visited Beverley, Late Autumn 1971.
Mostly, I remember our visit to the Minster (shivers up and down the spine reminiscences, of the solid, ancient atmosphere within and without).

Lovely. I know there have been some architectural losses not shown here but I love Beverley. And I shall be there in about 3 hours' time (from York).
