    I usually love your videos, especially for beginners, but if I'm being 100% honest this one suffers a little bit from "information overload". I've played this game for 100h+ but my head started spinning from all the info you put into the first 5 minutes and how rapid fire it was.
    I understand the approach of wanting to explain everything and I think this video is a really good 2nd step for people that have played 5-10 games but I think a full beginner's brain would probably shut off :p If I were to get new friends into the game I would probably send them Adri or Smug's guide first, play a few games and then send them yours. So it def still has a massive use, but I did wanna share my honest thoughts!

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому +4

      Thats understandable but also the intent. It's meant to be a more in depth beginners guide rather than just a surface level. A lot of my content is catered to those who are just starting out but want to reach the top ranks at Eternal Return. I try to keep it light for casual players as well but I more so focus on going super intense with details. In my discord I have a section about ER guides where I have Adri and Smugs guides linked as places to start and my video as a follow up deeper dive.
      Overall though yea I agree it's definitely an information overload but I also think that's because there's a ton you have to know/do just to start seeing the bear minimum of success at Eternal Return. Thank you for your feedback though I really appreciate it!

    Great video! Just started last week and your tutorials + vod review helped me in starting out. Looking to link this new beginner guide to my friends who are gonna start playing this week.
    Quick question though, are there drop tables for chances of meteorites/tree/core from bears/wolves (mutants and non-mutants)? Would love if you can cover this along with drop tables of purple chests.

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому

      I don't know the exact percentages but
      Wolves = Meteorite, Tree of Life, Mythril
      Bears = Meteorite, Tree of Life, Mythril, Forcecore
      The first spawn of wolves/bears at the beginning of the game will never drop a rare resource. They have a chance starting from the second (First respawn).
      Purple Chests = Meteorite, Tree of Life, Mythril, Forcecore
      If I get the exact percentages I'll be sure to update!

    thank you for this! one question i had was how you know what stat you should prioritize for each character? like crit, AP, or AMP? i've looked at the patch notes for the characters, but I'm still super confused on how to interpret the tables.

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому

      Generally you can get a pretty good idea based on the recommended builds but when you're in game or practice tool you can hover over the skill and press alt to expand details and it will say if the skill scales based on Attack Power or Skill amplification. For crit it's just characters whose spells you don't typically use for damage or if they have some type of crit conversion in their kit.

    I just started playing Two Weeks ago, and noticed that the profile has tabs for solos and duos. are those a thing? because I don't see them anywhere and I kind of wish they were available

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  5 місяців тому

      They used to be. In early access you could queue solos, duos, or squads. However, queuetimes were rough splitting the playerbase between 3 queues so in effort to combat long queue times, ER became only squads. I was a big fan of solos, it was my preferred mode.

    i just started and i feel like i'm only playing against bots ( probably am) when do i fight real players?

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому

      Tough to say. Typically under level 30 you'll get a mix of bots and players but there's other factors that go into it like queue times and current amount of players on. There's no like cut off to where you wouldn't have bots. Best chances at getting human players is playing during popular times so anywhere from like 3pm-10pm EST if you're NA.

    too much info that 90% of people won`t be able to follow even half of what you explained there,that`s more of "Advanced Guide" rather than "Begginer Guide" and many of the strategies and stuff are taken from different games like PUBG,Fortnite,League of Legends,Naraka Bladepoint and so on,basically people who plays battle royale as their main genre have bigger advantage,than a player that comes from a mmo or mmorpg genre.
    While i like the characters (from what i`m seeing in videos),i`m not that inclined on forced pvp and rush for items (witch is the battle royale trademark),because its not really skill,but rather luck and knowledge,that makes "veteran" players high ranked and "newbie" players cannon fodder for the veteran players,and while yes you can eventually learn the game (the skill sailing is really big) and get better,the core gameplay does not ring a bell for me, pvp is not really my thing,and forced pvp is even worse (i don`t like pvp because its never balanced,and usually goes one sided).
    I had my fairshare of battle royale games and i am really skeptical when it comes to this genre,because of no balance and possible hackers that ruined all the battle royale games (ok most of them), and its not a loved genre like "action mmorg" or "hack`n slash" or "adventure",its usually a small community of elitists that enjoy killing each other and casuals are cannon fodder.

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому

      Personally, somewhat disagree. I would call it a more in depth beginners guide than an advanced guide. This barely even really begins to scratch the surface when it comes to advanced mechanics of the game. The skill floor of Eternal Return is high and I think you need at least knowledge of all these concepts in order to start seeing some success.
      My content has always been, at least in terms of guides, for those that want to push themselves to get to the highest level. I dont really make content for the casual gamers and there's people in the community that have that covered. I dont have experience with PUBG, Fortnite, and Naraka but im sure a lot of the concepts blend over as this game I've been told is very similar fundamentally.
      It also doesn't really make sense to call the skill ceiling high, but also say that high elo players get there out of luck. The two dont go together. Respectfully if PvP and more specifically forced PVP aren't your thing than this might not be the good for you. That's one of the main concepts to this game.

    • @monkey3101
      @monkey3101 Рік тому

      @@itzLeviVT The game needs balancing and it needs to have more assistance for new players, the tutorial sucks, this game has the worst case of stat checking in a moba, I've seen in a while, there's such minimal mechanical skill or ability to 1v2 with equal gear.

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому

      @@monkey3101 Agreed, however this has been the consensus for 90% of characters since early access season 1. It was even worse where there was solos. Doesn't seem like something they're interested in changing and don't want characters to be able to 1v2. Majority of the skill that goes into Eternal Return is in the macro, I would consider myself mechanically subpar to most top players, but I'm still able to hold my own in most lobbies through macro.

    • @blacksparkss21
      @blacksparkss21 Рік тому

      @@itzLeviVT you imply that luck is not involved when it comes to high elo,and you imply that everything in the game is set in stone "like you do x-y -z and you won" nope you are not winning like that,you increase the chance of winning by doing x-y-z,but that its not guaranteed,you can increase that chance by playing with friends that plays well,but playing alone involves luck,you can`t win the game alone here (since there is no solo queue),so team mates are a big factor in becoming high elo player.
      That`s one of luck and there is the 2nd one,that could be griefing,wich is someone constantly trying or killing you,so you won`t win the game,that`s a really high factor.
      OK so explain me this,if 2 people watched your guide,and followed everything 1 to 1 and both are enemies,who win? Since both did everything and both plays at the same skill sailing,who actually wins?
      Lets say first one plays a crit based build and the other one plays a skill based build, who wins? Remember both players have same skill sailing level,you can call them twins or whatever.

    • @itzLeviVT
      @itzLeviVT  Рік тому

      @@blacksparkss21 Ofc there's some luck to it, the game is dynamic. Optimizing to put yourself into better positions or moments where you can get lucky is a skill though. The game isn't formulaic but its rhythmic. If you get in the habit of optimizing your play for efficiency you'll be rewarded with things that are luck. Getting good teammates when playing solo obviously isn't exclusive to Eternal Return.
      This example isn't plausible, if two people did the exact same thing on the same character on the same build, the first skill check would come down to routing and who got their build quicker. They wouldn't get it at the same time due to loot distributions, and the stars would have to align for them to get the same spawn for all zones of their routing. Getting a good loot distribution isn't 100% luck based either though. Majority of where you spawn at luck but knowing to look ahead in zones, knowing what characters spawned in a zone and what items they takes are skills. If you can skip a loot distribution because you know your battery is missing and get it in the next one that's a skill.
      Second example has too many variables on how the fight can go. Did the skill amp character land all their skillshots? Did the crit character dodge? How much CC in eithers kit etc
      I didn't meant to imply that theres 0 luck, a lot of the game is luck and rng, but a lot of good players know how to set themselves up for it.
