Mine came with the same stains. A light rub with a cotton ball and some Jason Markk did the trick. My guess is they skimped on the QC to meet deadlines. Still love them either way.
My pair didn’t present many issues. Aside from the slight glue stains the marks on the rubber were wiped off fairly easily. I’m very happy with them, and I feel like knocking the shoe because of a couple marks is ungrateful to some degree.
I ordered both pairs and I'm anxiously waiting to see how they turn out. I bought this pair halfheartedly because I was unsure of which colorway I preferred and didn't want to pay resale if they sold out, if they turn out bad I wont worry about returning them and let them go.
Dang those glue stains are unacceptable 💀 the last several pairs of Converse I tried all had that same issue, but those are even worse somehow oooof. Cool/interesting shoes on paper, but damn, they need to get their production quality more on par w the pricing.
Same issue, i got my pair and was somewhat disappointed and let down by the cardboard dust coating and glue stains. I have to clean it off with wet cloth and some ethanol before its good for wear.
@@curioussober May I check if the grey has no issues with glue stains and stuff at all? Weird that the grey pair is cheaper on retail than the black carbon and yet the grades are inverse of each other.
Just got mine today after some cleaning up they work great. But yeah the manufacturer shouldn’t have let a product out the door that you have to clean and polish before wearing.
Yeah the glue stains are crazy on mine. Wide/Flat feet peeps definitely go a half size up from your normal "chuck" size. I researched so much and people reviewing these kept missing the mark on speaking about their foot type on the recommendation.
I got these. Didn't have a problem with glue stains. The rubber part looked slightly dirty but no where near as bad as yours. I don't have wide feet and I went a half size down. I have some space length wise but I feel these were a little too narrow. I think I should have gone TTS to alleviate the tightness from the sides.
@@KP-yy7ph Went down half size from my regular size. Chuck 2's I wear in my size and I find them TTS. I have a pair of Chuck 70's in my size and I feel I can go down half a size which is why I went down in these. But these have a lining similar to the micro suede in the Chuck 2's that make it thicker than the regular canvas. It's not too bad. The more I wore them, the less it bothered me.
I have never own these but I can help you guys with the glue issue! USE A LITTLE TIRE SHINE ON IT, trust me it will work ! I am planning on getting the black and white in the converse website 😎
I received my pair on Saturday. There is one small glue stain on my right shoe. The construction seems solid. I have not had a chance to wear them out yet. I do think that they look great, even in the dark colorway. I ordered only a half size down from my normal size. It does seem a little tight as width is concerned. I will let you know how that feels after wearing for a bit.
@@KP-yy7ph I have a pair of winterized Chucks. They are size 11. They fit me perfectly.I got the ACW the same size. My normal sneaker size is 11 1/2 or 12 depending on the company and the shoe style. The winterized Chucks are supposed a 1/2 size larger than normal size, so I ordered those in size 11.
I got my A Cold Wall Converses today in black and I got two pairs in different sizes as I wasn't sure what size to get. Today I got both and tried both on. Both had a bunch of glue stains all over the shoe which was annoying. However, the most annoying part is that the pair of the one that fits me had a FOLDED INSOLE. There's literally a bump on the inside of the shoe and I can't try to unfold the insole and it's GLUED TOGETHER like wtf. I was really looking toward to these and now have to return them.
Mine has stains too. I stumbled upon ur review and I thought only mine had the issues. And the fabric seperated from the rubber already after 2 regular use. Ugh. Regret buying this. Super expensive and paid duties to be shipped in Canada
just got mine today and i noticed a little gap on the right shoe from the sole to the rubber and im not sure if i should return it as this is or was going to be an everyday shoe for me. I called and they said i should return it any ideas on what i should do because i really love this shoe.
Like the grey pair they look great. Unfortunate they have the inconsistency with the presentation ...(the stains) And on black pairs glue stains show up even more obvious. Just not much care on the factory level or they rushed these out, but brands should be called out for these, because it's simply not acceptable on a consumer level when brand new.
I got the grey ones a full size down, were they hard to put on got you? I struggled.... the back part is so annoying when putting them on 😑 Edit: I’m happy I got grey because those glue stains are 🤮, i bet the replicas won’t be that bad,
Oka now. Don’t make it sound racist yellow guy. Lol you almost pushed it but saved it wit “I have better black boots” cuz y’all get soft on UA-cam when y’all say y’all don’t like something cuz the design and not the color.
Absolutely love these shoes. bought a new pair for Christmas!

I got the black and have the same issue, but for me it’s about the look and the fit. Aye, the finish is important but it’s too nice not to buy.
