Like I said, today we're talking all things microfiber hair towels. From why they're important, when to use them, and how to use them, I'm covering it all! Honestly, I didn't expect there to be so many questions about hair towels, but HEY that's what I'm here for 😊
Wet hair is susceptible to damage and a microfiber hair protects you hair from damage when its, you guessed it, wet! Here's a quick list of why microfiber hair towels are beneficial:
⭐️ Softer
⭐️ Minimizes frizz
⭐️ Dries hair faster aka saves YOU time!!!
⭐️ Less damage to hair
⭐️ Helps protect against split ends
There are also a bunch of technical and science-y reasons to use a microfiber hair towel, and if you want more details on that, please check out the video... BUT I'm all about how much time they save. If a product can shave off time from a task I have to do, then give it to me NOW please! Am I right? Do you think using a microfiber hair towel actually made a difference in dry time? You'll have to watch the video until the end to find out!
For this test, I dried by hair in the towel for exactly 5 minutes. Then I used my hair dryer on the exact same heat setting to determine how long until my hair was perfectly dry. The microfiber towel and hair towel had different drying times. Do you know which won???

I sure did learn anything about difference between the microfiber and the regular towels
Anytime I try to use hair brushes with give or flexible bristles it hurts so much and I start at the ends of my hair too any advice
Mindy, I have long hair and a microfiber hair towel. I just bunch it up into the end and it still works well. Sometimes the end is still sticking out, but most of the time its fine. :)
I'm looking forward to reviews for very long hair. Mine are down to my hips, so I guess I'd have to fold my hair in the middle or even in thirds to fit it in there...

Can we have a video on how to properly wash your hair? I know it’s like so basic, but I have really thick hair, and have had dandruff since like birth. I always feel like I’m not doing it right! 😅 hope I’m not alone

Dunno if this will help at all, but try a medicated dandruff shampoo. I’ve been using one and my dandruff has gotten significantly better (I also can’t remember a time I didn’t have dandruff lol)
The fact that you can blow dry your hair in under 5 minutes either way is mind blowing! Haha
Right! Even with a microfiber hair towel, it still takes me a solid 10 minutes or more to blow dry my hair.

Right! I mean I have curly hair (like 3Bish) but it takes me like 10-15 minutes at least. I usually give up after 5 minutes 😂

My hair dries super quick (about 2mins from wet to dry) so I've always just used a towel to contain the drips.
But had brain surgery in Jan and don't know where I would be without my mircofibre hair towel. It's much softer on my head, and it doesn't pull on my scalp which is now pretty sore over the front half of my hair. Admittedly the front half of my hair was all shaved off so it's fairly frizzy where it is slowly growing back, but prefer that to the pain of using a regular bath towel. Bad enough that I'm not allowed to use any heat on my head (either the water or the dryer). And I'm still stuck using baby shampoo. The microfibre towel is the only nice thing I am allowed!

I live in Arizona and my hair dries within a day! When I lived in California, it would take the ENTIRE day to dry. Ever since living in AZ, it dries way faster :)

Hey Mindy, just a quick typo, at 2:35, when you’re talking about disulfide bonds you spelt it as “dusulfide”. The “di” means 2 sulfide molecules aha ☺️
I’ve been using Turbie Twists for like 15 years or so. Love microfiber hair towels! They work amazingly, and don’t pull your neck as happens when the big bath towel starts to slide off your head. 😁. Buy the microfiber hair towel! You will be glad you did!

I started using microfiber towels for my hair for about 10 yrs ago and it makes a big difference! I have wavy/curly hair, less frizz and much faster drying time in mfiber hair towel.
How do i see the difference, I don’t know what a microfiber or a normal towel is, looks the same to me
I never twist my hair into my microfiber towel urban thingy. As someone who roughly follows the curly girl method I use it for plopping. But mostly I do what's called Micro-Plopping. Where I apply my products then I just scrunch my hair with a microfiber towel.

I liked my microfiber towel but my hair got to long for it so had to pass on to my kid to use. But I find a big microfiber gym towel works well but doesn't stay on as well without a button, wish I could find these types of hair towels made in more than one size. And a tutorial on using one of these for plopping would be awesome.

Why does it take me forever to blow dry my hair.. lol confused maybe I’m doing it wrong! I use a microfiber towel and thought i had a good normal blow dryer... and i also have used the revlon round brush blow dryer thing!! And it takes atleast 15 minutes!

I tried using a hair towel a few years ago and loved the concept, but my hair (touching my butt) just wouldn’t fit in the towel and I couldn’t get it to fasten so I gave up on the idea 😢
So maybe a larger option is necessary for super long or thick hair?
I might revisit hair towels now that I have shorter hair 😃

Love this!!! Do you have helpful suggestions for wavy hair types? I’ve tried he curly girl method and I like it but it’s super high maintenance and my scalp get irritated when I leave products on my hair. I’m not curly but I do have a few locks here and there with full curls to them. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️.

I do my microfiber hair towel reverse. I put the "hood" part at the top, and twist the hair up and button it near my forehead. Love the content about your new products!

I have another microfibres hairtowel (Germany and the products aren’t available here) but my hair is waist long and it is a little complicated. Because other towels are longer and therefore the time is basically the same. 🤔

I wanted to find another way to “air” dry my hair, though I couldn’t do often because I will end up breaking out at the bottom of my hairline on my neck. So, I always have to blow dry my hair (which cause heat damage, too).
So, the hair towel might be a useful tool for me to use to dry my hair, too.

I got a microfibre towel. It's supposed to dry quickly, while the one I got takes forever to get dry. What is wrong with it? It's a suede type towel. Also it doesn't work well on my hair. After 30 minutes it only made them about 50% dry.
Microfiber is synthetic (plastic) but cotton is natural. I prefer choosing a natural cloth over synthetic. Getting rid of synthetic everything.
So, you're saying that my routine of beating my hair into submission with my fingers to quickly dry the roots with the blower on high is...a bad idea? Maybe that's why my bathroom is covered in hair when I'm done. Luckily, I'm a big, hairy, man-bear so it grows back quick enough (great for growing out my new, mid-life crisis heavy metal hair). But, maybe I should invest in one of these fancy, shmancy hair towels. 🤔

I'm in the uk I have long thick hair, if I let it air dry it takes days! I washed my hair yesterday morning and there is still a little dampness today (my hair dryer broke), but even with a hair dryer it takes a long time my hair dryer has been know to over heat before my hair is dry, I think I might go out and try one of these towels
Question, my hair has grown too long to use that anymore; i have thick knee length hair and its just too short. I just purchased a microfiber super big beach towel . It said microfiber and super absorbant and its 72x72 so my hair has tons of room to grown into the beach towel. I dont cut or trim my hair and im 36. My question is since its microfiber it should be good right?

Hey Mindy and team, I think the idea to compare your products with other brands is great but the realization is weak. It's the second video I am watching now and I don't think it's objective and authentic. There are so many scenes where I sensed a difference between you using your product and you using other products. Overall I think it harms your and your brand's reputation.

I've a question. You are using products that your hair company make i.e the microfiber hair towel and the hair dryer. But if people don't have these ones made by you would other companies hair dryers and microfiber towels produce a different result. Or are you saying all microfiber towels and hair dryers will produce the same results
