    Holycow! Thanks for posting this. I had thought I might try it in my Tracker, but after watching this, I know I'm not even close to being ready for Zukicon!

      I think I want to try again in an IFS rig but it will be an automatic with transfer case gears. This was definitely a learning experience.

      Tommy, glad to see you liked it. Thanks again for all.your help with spotting and making sure we got to camp. Didn't record any of that because we were busy living it.

    You need some of the 3:1 gears in that thing. Crawling is not terribly easy with stock low range.

    • @trashpandaoffroad3548

      I agree. I have a set of gears for it but I didn't get them installed in time.

      I definitely took the wrong rig. I had no idea the trail was a giant rock garden. Alot of people I have talked to about the trip also have no idea what its really like.

      It’s opened my eyes 👀 !
      It’s on my bucket list but I think I need a few more upgrades. I’d like to drive my samurai from Mississippi there and back.
      I’ve had it on a trailer to Cabo San Lucas, flat towed to King of the Hammers, and the ultimate road trip in a samurai would be to Alaska.

    • @trashpandaoffroad3548
      @trashpandaoffroad3548  2 роки тому

      Ya. The radiator came out of the lower mounts and smashed forward. I have a pusher fan so it got crushed into the radiator.

    I think you have messed with a 2.0L. I put one in my 87 samurai that is knocking real bad. I just picked up a 2.3 out of a Suzuki Aerio. I know I need to swap to my 2.0 intake. What I don’t know about is the fuel rails. Would you happen to know witch rail I should use ?

    • @trashpandaoffroad3548
      @trashpandaoffroad3548  2 роки тому +1

      I do not. If you find out what stuff you need to keep please let me know. I have a bad 2.0 that I want to junk but I dont want to toss anything useful.

    • @XVanman
      @XVanman 2 роки тому

      @@trashpandaoffroad3548 I can tell you the intake intake the 2.0 needs to go on the 2.3 (mass air flow sensor is the reason). Some say change the oil pan but I can’t see why.
      Trail tough did my samurai wiring harness to the 2.0 and no changes needed there. The fuel rail is my only unanswered question at this time.
      The 2.0 is 130(+/-) hp
      The 2.3 is 150(+/-) hp
      Might as well go with the 2.3

      Thanks for the support. Sorry about the add placement. I understand how you feel. I watched a bleeping jeep video this morning and it seemed like it had 15 breaks in the darn thing. There really isn't anything we can do about that. Hopefully you will try again or some other video

    What’s the build specs for that rig?

    • @trashpandaoffroad3548
      @trashpandaoffroad3548  2 роки тому +1

      1994 Geo Tracker, 2.0 swap. 2" body & 2" spacer lift. 33" tires, skid plate and A arm armor. Factory roof rack w/silverwing RTT. Trail Tough front bumper w/warn 9.5 winch. I think that's the important stuff. There is an older walk around of the rig on the channel and also a write up in January issue of Fourwheeler magazine. Those are both old though.

      @@trashpandaoffroad3548 how are the 33s fitting? I assume they rub on the frame a bit. How is the body clearance with your lift?

      I had to do some fender trimming in the front and it still rubs a little offroad.
