It reminds me of how amazing the Mortal Kombat 2 commercial was, vs the movies.. there were others like that too, but im having a brain fart remembering all of em lol
NightwingReborn you got that right...I actually collect a lot of stuff in this video and whenever I find something cool it brings back so many memories. The other day I found a vintage tmnt party wagon complete in the box with next to no play wear on it. It literally made my day when the lady told me she was selling it for 10 dollars.
Trivia for those in the Philippines. 1995 MTRCB banned Mega Man due to violence of cartoons. One year before the Marimar and Thalia craze all because of the MTRCB. Then in 1997 my brother call me in the bathroom he said turn to channel 2 Mega Man is now on channel 2. Mega Man was aired on ABS CBN in 1997. The first time Mega Man was shown on Captain N The Game Master In 1990 until 1991 also aired on ABS CBN 2. Luckily i have the dvd I just ordered from Amazon. I’m a huge Mega Man fan you know that
+Little Goblin - I doubt any of them thought they were "giving their lives to entertain us" at the time. They were young, dumb & shooting roids. You make it sound a little more noble than it actually was.
Is there a movie of the first gi joe commercial!? Cause i would completeley, unironically LOVE TO WATCH IT! It looks as bad as a Pornos story, but for kids LOL
Shame Bomb Man was pulled due to the OKC bombing. IMHO, if I made a toy using bombs and a bombing happened, I would not pull said toy off shelves because my rights do not end where other people's feelings begin.
they sure did. They usually had some trigger that would make them do some moves. As for the Big Boss Man figure, it ended up appearing in an Action League Now episode where he was a prison guard
I love these commercials...A mighty blast from the past.
That first GI Joe commercial was better than the entirety of GI Joe Rise of Cobra.

Reminds me of simpler times, when life made sense.

Wow for 90s toys those mario movie toys had good head sculptors lol
the GI Joe commercial doesn't even show the action figures, just people dressed up fighting XD The Ninja Force was the best.

This is the time when Bandai promoted the Mega Man toys long before Bandai, Sega and Capcom for their Projects X Zone for the 3ds

Back when LJN made WWE action figures before Jakks Pacific took over making them.
actually, LJN was succeeded by Hasbro from 1989 to 1996, then Jakks took over until Mattel got the license.
figment1988 Oh, I didn't know Hasbro used to make WWE action figures.
they sure did. They usually had some trigger that would make them do some moves. As for the Big Boss Man figure, it ended up appearing in an Action League Now episode where he was a prison guard
It is like seeing Michael Bay in his start in commercials in action toy.
