Nice trucks and I like them both. I have 1985 4runner with 328,000 miles runs great. My son has a 1984 fj60 with 250,000 miles on runs good and has1984 Toyota pick up with 160,000 on it. Toyota trucks are all original with no modifications. My son and I go for shorts with our vehicles. Gas is killing us at $ 6.00 a gallon, we enjoy our trucks also.
Damn Ive a seen two 83 Toyota pickups that i might get over a 99 tacoma Daily it around the city and few local camping trips here around Big Sur Call me crazy that a 83 will be my daily? Or I should just play it safe and get a 99 tacoma for my daily and camping trip truck
As much as I love these old trucks, I have a daily of my own, ive seen people daily these old trucks and its doable! Just comes down to what will be most practical for your lifestyle.

Dash wasnt worn! Rugs are great for protecting the dash from the sun. Older Toyota dashboards are known to warp under direct sun and heat.
