I love having the real world Gods in the MCU its way way way more interesting than the celestials or Galactus any of the other cosmic entities in Marvel to me. The only exception so far Dormammu.
One Above All is just a Celestial, not the Celestial form of The One Above All. Also, Amatsu-Mikaboshi, aka Chaos King, is the one you identified as Mictechaciuatl.
There are two One Above All. One is the a Celestial and the other is the Supreme God of the Marvel Universe, the one who's above everyone, kinda like The Presence in DC
It would be great if you could make a video explaining the hirarchy of everyone... like who's above who? With the important gods, the living tribunal, Kang, celestials...
If the MCU dive into Māori and Polynesian mythology & give us a series with our own Superhero it should be based on the stories of Maui. MCU version of Maui would be amazing. You could literally tell the stories of Maui slowing the sun (Tamanui te RĀ) - tie that in with Rah the Egyptian sun god. Maui searching and looking for his father and mother. Learning and developing his god like powers that all of his half brothers don't have. Maui is special, that is who our MCU hero needs to be.
Actually, the god identified here as Mictecacihuatl looks almost exactly like Marvel’s version of Amatsu-Mikaboshi, who interestingly enough when on a cosmic rampage slaying all gods and inciting the Chaos War. This war was then single-handedly ended by Hercules who stopped the Chaos King Mikaboshi.
1:40 Apparently this overdone Greek accent was very popular in Australia about 10 years ago in sketch comedy there so I guess that's where he got the idea
I know the answer to this is that it's a movie and not that deep but I have an issue with how many Earth based gods are on Omnipotent City - the universe is huge and we know their are countless civilisations out there and yet we see mostly Earth Gods.
They’d be worshipped by others in space too, hence why Thor was recognised by aliens at the start of the film. While those in particular don’t worship the Asgardians but it’s not far fetched to assume others do.
Typically when we see Eternity or any of the other cosmic beings of that level we’re just seeing an Aspect of that being. Meaning the Eternity we see here is just an aspect of the true Eternity which exists outside of the multiverse itself. Weird cosmic shit that’s still really cool
Seeing the Aztec gods made me lose my shit in the theatre. I know the representation was 💯 I think it’s also important to recognize different cultures in mainstream media. We all come from different cultures, and our cultures are beautiful and unique and fascinating. They should never be forgotten. I remember learning about them in school and being so excited to recognize Quetzalcoatl.
One Above All is the name of the Celestial who is the highest of all Celestials (Arishem, Jemiah and the others) and in this film, it looks like One Above All is equal to Eternity, Infinity, The Watcher, Living Tribunal, Death and Eon. As mentioned in the video, these are cosmic entities with heirarchy. One Above All is just the name of a Celestial but not any higher than Eternity or any of the other cosmic entities.
There are 2 characters name One Above All in the comic 1. One Above All (The Leader of the Celestials and that why his name is One Above All because he is above other Celestials) 2. One Above All (basically highest being in Marvel)
@@jrbkjierulf As other has said there are two TOAA characters , the leader of the Celestials , presumably the most powerful as well and the literal GOD of Marvel , the monotheistic Abrahamic God in a way , the avatar of the studio etc .
@@Kobalt_Rax_the_one Exactly. To avoid confusion, in most comic book forums I've visited, they refer to the Celestial as OAA and the supreme being as TOAA.
Hephaestus is the god of craftsmen (carpenters) in Greek mythology, but more likely Lu Ban is the ancient Chinese god of carpentry. Jesus was a carpenter by trade, but is not considered the god of carpentry. You've mentioned that in two videos now. Lu Ban and a connection to Shang Chi would make more sense.
The One Above All isn't in its celestial form. It is a completely separate character from the benevolent being above (and presumably the creator of) literally ALL existence.

@@Will.Flavell Are you referring to indigenous Americans, or just someone from the USA in general? If the former, I assume they would if given the chance. If the latter, I'm a bit confused on what you mean?
@@MattMGK Any American director but why wouldn’t they do it?
@@Will.Flavell I'm not sure what you mean, why wouldn't they do what?
6:08 that's Chaos King aka Amatsu Mikaboshi
I love having the real world Gods in the MCU its way way way more interesting than the celestials or Galactus any of the other cosmic entities in Marvel to me. The only exception so far Dormammu.
the real gods are more interesting than Galaktus?gimme a break
@@evansvisual they aren't real God more like high tier cosmic beings ie eternity living tribunal and galactus.
Funny how pretty much all these gods are aliens that ancient humans worshipped as gods cause they didn't know what aliens were😂
Taika dropped the ball on Gorr
Seeing eternity was a highlight of 2022 😃🤩
2:00 That may look like the Great Protector, but I doubt it’s the same dragon. For one, it’s golden, when the Great Protector is white and red.
One Above All is just a Celestial, not the Celestial form of The One Above All. Also, Amatsu-Mikaboshi, aka Chaos King, is the one you identified as Mictechaciuatl.
One above all you mean living tribunal? he's not a celestial he stronger
@@IdanLeiz living tribunal and the One Above All are different.
@@thembanitheone yeah I just saw the video and one above all is a celestial!?
There are two One Above All. One is the a Celestial and the other is the Supreme God of the Marvel Universe, the one who's above everyone, kinda like The Presence in DC
His earlier videos, he stated “The One Above All,” is most likely Kevin Fiege or Stan Lee lol.
He only shows up a few times in the comics.
Killing it with the Nahuatl pronunciations! Nice!
Just finished the movie 👌 so cool to see more gods and see where the war between Asgard and Olympus goes
Hello Erik!! Happy Monday sir🤘🏾
That's who I thought it was because it looks exactly like Amatsu-Mikaboshi from the comics
Chaos didn't actually died he just Became true form Chaos king
This movie was really really good I do not understand people who did not like it
Both a lot of Gods and a huge development for the character of Thor
Yes! Thank you for existing.
The Māori God Tūmatauenga is the god of war and is pronounced (Tu ma toe e nga ) lots of Māori gods awesome to see one in the MCU
6:06 this is amatsumikaboshi form Chaos war.
Glad you actually noticed the Māori goddess :D
What about the other gods?
1:40 Apparently this overdone Greek accent was very popular in Australia about 10 years ago in sketch comedy there so I guess that's where he got the idea
I know the answer to this is that it's a movie and not that deep but I have an issue with how many Earth based gods are on Omnipotent City - the universe is huge and we know their are countless civilisations out there and yet we see mostly Earth Gods.
They’d be worshipped by others in space too, hence why Thor was recognised by aliens at the start of the film. While those in particular don’t worship the Asgardians but it’s not far fetched to assume others do.
I hope we get to see all of those cosmic beings more in the future but in a life form not a statue. It would be so sick!
I know the representation was 💯
I think it’s also important to recognize different cultures in mainstream media. We all come from different cultures, and our cultures are beautiful and unique and fascinating. They should never be forgotten. I remember learning about them in school and being so excited to recognize Quetzalcoatl.
Been waiting for this gods explained
Nah, that wouldn't have been Tūmātauenga. It would most likely have been Papatuanuku, the Earth Mother. Also Tū's Mother.
That wouldn't make sense either because Papatuanuku is the Earth or the land. It would be another god
besides, Tumatauenga is depicted as male so I was kinda sceptical if that was them or not
The fur god really looks like Sun Wu Kong "the monkey king" and "the victorious golden buddha".
All these gods, and none who rule death?
There must always be a balance.
Thanatos, Samael, where were they all while the Death of Gods runs free?
This movie was wonderful! Liked Ragnorok just a bit more. Can't wait to see it again!
I watched it in 2D to understand the movie. Now I can't wait to watch it again in 3D just for the fun of it.
I can’t imagine how Gor would Kill Bao.
Chopsticks
I miss the slight reference to Knull (god of the symbiotes) he created the necrosword
4:17 I’m just reminded of a biblical accurate angel(not a god but that’s the best I can think of)
No it’s a god all gods are present could be a made up god asweel maybe god of birds basically looks like falcons suite copy n paste
"ANOTHER!" vid.
nicee🔥🔝👍🏻
Who wants to agree
It would have been funny if Dwayne Johnson was in the movie as Maui from Moana
I like that Korgs God is sitting on a throne of scissors ✂️… ya know because Rock beats scissors.
If the one of above all is on equal grounds as the rest of the celestial gods, then that's not the one above all. The name clearly states it.
@@488สุพศิน true and in this film, clearly it's the Celestial that they're referring to
@@jrbkjierulf As other has said there are two TOAA characters , the leader of the Celestials , presumably the most powerful as well and the literal GOD of Marvel , the monotheistic Abrahamic God in a way , the avatar of the studio etc .
@@Kobalt_Rax_the_one Exactly. To avoid confusion, in most comic book forums I've visited, they refer to the Celestial as OAA and the supreme being as TOAA.
Yes there was a lot going on in this movie but it was pretty enjoyable especially if you love God and you're all into that outer space stuff
I’ve always wanted to see the cosmic beings in the MCU. Thank God for Taika 🙏🏾
thank what? Thank Waitiit for ruining the movie, the MCU and Thor? Shill more.
Namor is gonna have some splainin to do if Thor brings Kukulkán
If Hades or Poseidon was there, that would've been awesome.
Only DC can do that
I’ve been waiting for more info on this :p
My question is are there other variants of the gods or are they the same god that watch over each universe
They have variants...Odin has variants for example
The Infinity silhouette of Love looks like Cosette from the Les Miserables poster, also an adopted daughter
Praise the Bull God, the great liberator Dionysus Lyaeus
This is the video I’ve been waiting for!
Yeah big difference on carpenter god (jesus) and god of carpentry mentioned in thor
But it's still cool to have a Jesus reference. Just like in the Record of Ragnarok.
@@mikkodetorres Star-Lord referred to Him by name in Infinity War.
For the record I do consider Jesus the god of carpenters
@@rastrisfrustreslosgomez544 You are alone in that.
Some people do still worship Greek and Roman gods. But you're right it's not very many
6:55 that's papatuanuku
Yes, Tumatauenga is male in real mythology & comics mythology.
haha. Yes, there can be more than one Maori god! They don't all have to be Tumatauenga!
1:10 Minor correction, but he's a full god. The mortal part was burned away before he ascended.
Just a thought, but could Bao's name be a reference to the Pixar short Bao, which is of course about a living dumpling.
Can you make another video explaining how to watch every mcu movies/shows in order?
Hephaestus is the god of carpentry in Greek Mythology. Valkyrie could’ve been referring to him instead?🤔
The One Above All isn't in its celestial form. It is a completely separate character from the benevolent being above (and presumably the creator of) literally ALL existence.
Erik, how come you haven't made a video going over the revealed looks for Namor, Namora and Attuma, as well as Shuri, Okoye and Ironheart?
Leaks like tend to come with copyright strikes.
Thanks for the content NR Team!!
