I was at this game on my birthday and remember the 3pt jumpshot like it was yesterday. If he hadn't made the shot, I wouldn't of remembered the game. Fast forward 7 years later, I once again attended the Suns/Celtics game. This time the Suns crushed the Celtics. After the game I saw Bird and a few other players at a sports bar near their hotel. Joe Kleine told Bird not to sign my ticket stub since they lost. Larry Bird reached out ant took my pen and ticket and signed it. Thanks Mr. Bird!
Larry is simply the BEST ALL-AROUND player EVER!!! He made his teammates better more than anyone. I will take Larry in his prime over anyone even Michael.

There have been great shooters or passers or scorers or rebounders or assist guys...but nobody has been the complete package that Bird was.

I have to agree. I saw McHale play a game without Bird and I think he scored 10 points and turned over the ball five times. Maybe McHale had more potential for Larry to work with than a lot of other players, but without Bird on the floor, that potential went unrealized.
