What is Friday Night Funkin'?
Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player controls a character called Boyfriend, who must defeat a series of opponents in order to continue dating his significant other, Girlfriend. The player must pass multiple levels, referred to as "weeks" in-game, containing three songs each. Each week, the player faces a different opponent, though some deviate in structure from this via the inclusion of multiple opponents. During gameplay, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes (represented as arrows) which the player must then mirror by using the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys. Some songs introduce more complicated patterns, with the player's pattern sometimes varying from the opponent's or both singers engaging in a duet.
What is Neon Genesis Evangelion?
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Japanese: 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン, Hepburn: Shinseiki Evangerion, lit. 'New Century Evangelion' in Japanese and lit. 'New Century Gospel' in Greek),[4] also known simply as Evangelion or Eva, is a Japanese mecha anime television series produced by Gainax and animated by Tatsunoko, directed by Hideaki Anno and broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1996. Evangelion is set fifteen years after a worldwide cataclysm named Second Impact, particularly in the futuristic fortified city of Tokyo-3. The protagonist is Shinji Ikari, a teenage boy who is recruited by his father Gendo to the shadowy organization Nerv to pilot a giant bio-machine mecha named Evangelion into combat against beings known as Angels.

Oreo composing for funkelion? Now I know this update is good
I'm late to this mod, just found out about it today, but this is definitely the best song in the mod and probably my favorite FNF song overall since Madden Attack released. Joke songs that go really hard not just in the music department, but also the animation and concepts, are very rare. Legacy and Deus Ex Machina are the ones that come to mind, and those are also some of the greatest FNF songs ever. The structure of the song is a lot like Legacy and there are lots of motifs similar to Defeat and Unknown Suffering. Instrumental and spritework goes really hard, too.
The concept here is also just genuinely amazing having actually seen the show. I don't know if this was more thought of as a meme and nothing else, but how deep does the lore go? Is Penpen taking the role of NERV here, or is he even more powerful than Adam and Adam's just here to help out?

Every key change that happens in this song just makes me love it more, as some comments say it sounds like Finale from Vs Impostor or Doubling Down, this song actually sounds more than those two every time the key changes happen, like when that white character (so sorry I don't know his name) appears and the key change on A5 it just gave me sudden Spread The Word vibes (especially the spammy parts), this might as well be my favourite fnf song and I mean it, your genuinely one of my favourite composers, I wish you good with your future, have a great day SleepyOreo :)

I need context on what's going on. Why is there a penguin, who is the huge white guy. Did this happen on the show??
They are NGE chars. The penguim was a "pet" (idk it´s weird) and the white guy is an angel. That´s my best guess.
Penpen is a background character with no significance whatsoever- one of the character's pets who is involved in some visual gags in earlier episodes of the show then is rarely seen again- and Adam is one of the most important parts of the show's story: he's a massive fleshy doomsday "device" made with the intent of making mankind extinct and consolidating everyone's consciousness into a hivemind. He's also probably the strongest being in the show, being the strongest angel. When he awakens, the apocalypse starts and he actually succeeds in killing pretty much everything on Earth.
The joke of the song should be pretty clear, then. :)
