I find myself shouting at my TV every time overlord comes up because everyone ALWAYS goes to the beach and I hate it. How long does it take to play this game to know you DONT GO TO THE BEACH on overlord yet every time I play that map at least half the team goes down there like a bunch of idiots and always end up losing
I tend to stay on those hills near the small town if our team gets the beach spawn and I try to get a few others to protect spawn, assess what the other team does, and work things out from there
This reminds me a lot like the Obj 260 and to be honest the Obj 260 is one of my favorites. BTW I looked for your new video and saw nothing but then it showed up after a couple minutes. Best channel for World of Tanks.
I was watching the first replay and i was thinking “i had a match earlier today where an obj259a was in that position.” And then i see my self getting spotted lmao. I was the t-54. I didn’t notice you was in my game. Good game 😁
Honestly, if you just want a tank that is fun and powerful just spend the extra 4k and get the K Tank, the problem with the 279A is that it really only plays against tier 10's, 5 games I have played have all been tier 10 so you can't really do anything without getting 2 shotted most of the time. Where as the K Tank just plays era 2 where it is incredibly good at.
Another great video. Actually going to take your advice this time and wait for discounts. Might get better in the Object 260 during that time, you never know.
Hey Petty, just wondering where you would rank this tank amongst other tier 8 soviet prem heavies like the Defender, Scourge, OBJ 703 II, IS-5 etc... and great informative vid as always mate 👍
I was genuinely happy when I looked over this things armor profile. It’s good but not invulnerable, and it has some obvious weak spots. Glad this isn’t another power creeper.
More like a baby Obj 260 than IS-7. (And more like the pre buff armor 260 tier for tier) Its a Heavium. Play it to support and flank and use the great gun

Can't argue over who you delete from the game boys. A tank out of play is a gun gone which leads to victory. Tough being 2 tiers down but it's the way it is. When I can remove a threat I'm gonna whether I'm top tier or bottomed. After all its just a game and a game only wargaming devs can improve. I'm all for plus one minus one but don't see it happening
Me personally, I would not buy this tank since it isn't locked to it's tier in matchmaking. On paper the stats don't look very promising for bottom tier games, especially the slow reverse speed, gun depression, and meh dpm would be a headache for the way I like to play lol. But I understand you can't have everything in this game 😂
it's hilarious that there are STILL idiots who camp at D4 on swamp and NEVER move. LOL edit: and yea, NEVER go to the beach on overlord - yet many do it every match.
@@Sammael66685 agreed on 6.0 - since that "update" the game has been a total mess. i don't play that much any more since it came out. as far as D4 -it isn't that people use the position....it's that you get 3+ tanks sitting there in a cluster for the WHOLE match - even if the map shows the other teams tanks in locations that don't allow for shots from there. thanks for the reply - you make good points!
@@Sammael66685 - and wargaming has been throwing around the idea of getting rid of artillery - if that happens, the game will be nothing but a bigger camp-fest than it already is! and don't you love it when you see heavies or light tanks sitting in the rear trying to snipe? what bugs me when i play now is this: the matches aren't won by which team is better at the game.......who wins the match is now the team with fewer potatoes. and it's easy to see : which teams lights know how to spot and do heavy tank players understand their role? and, in most matches, it appears 70% of the player base doesn't understand the importance of using the mini-map. then there is wargamings insistence on GIVING AWAY tier 9/10 tanks, matches end up with inexperienced idiots who probably had never played above tier 7 trying to be competitive at tier 10!...... 🤦♂
@@Sammael66685 hey, it's ok to disagree on some points. and arty (in particular) is one that surely will do that - LOL. as far as the gifting - yea, not a new problem; but, there was a time when the ONLY way to get a tierX was grind the tech tree which i think is the only way anyone should get them. the giveaway premium Xs are too easy to play and make the going through a given line in the tech-tree unnecessary. i find it interesting you bring up the option of some people buying their way to tierX.....damn, that would be really pricey in REAL money - i can't imagine why anyone would do it; but i know some do! good talking with you.

I honestly can't feel this thing to be a "baby IS-7" the front gets penned like a butter. IS-5, 6 and kirovets had more reliable frontal armor.
