@@TatsukiHashida yeah, the guy in second was clearly holding back his disappointment and trying to smile for the camera, while the third place guy looked genuinely happy.

If you finish in second, you feel like you were so close yet so far off.
If you finish near the end of the pack, you feel like you have a ways to go, and it doesn't hit as hard.
@@TatsukiHashida That’s what Bronze and Silver medalists say about winning at the Olympics. I’m not sure if the same holds true at other competitions.
What a dream job, makes me laugh how its even possible to drive that fast.

I feel like i dream too much, i mean, I want to animate, race, participate in battlebots, be a professional cook, and change stuff.

i say, dream more, and dont let anything stop you. your the only one putting restrictions on yourself. just get out there and do it, there'll be a lot of trial, and error, but once you find the thing you love, it'll make it all worth it.

Yes I am also one of them. I wish had a chance be rally driver. But my parents never was in to it, so never had a chance. But but I love drive fast, i drove one winter night from Grums not far from where they have wrc in Sweden to outside Stockholm in 1 hour and 45 min, was 5-10cm snow on the road. Crazy but snow storm so almost no other cars

RX cars are safe for sure but they are not "cars with a bunch of assists" !
Rallycross cars are AWD and have 600hp (900Nm of torque) with no traction control and no driver aids like ABS, ESP etc...
Furthermore, they have manual shift transmission, so we can say these cars which are the quickest things pilots can drive (0-60 MPH in 1,9s) are similar to Gr.B Rally cars with the only difference that competitions take place not on closed roads but on tracks with gravel and asphalt portions.
I remember a time when people were more humble in their wins and it was way harder then, now everyone goes "I'm the king of the world" on it.

having an attitude is part of the game now, its boring to watch humble people win effortlessly, but exciting to watch someone predict their race, and actually win.
its phycology, eg: keiichi tsuchiya, the man is a legend, with great talent, and humble, but it isnt much fun to watch him after the race, and his humbleness doesnt excite the people he goes up against pre race, most people see getting beaten by him as a humbling experience, whereas getting beaten by a loud mouth braggart excites the fans, and starts rivalries, which can end up with even bigger, and more exciting races than keiichi tsuchiya can provide. (although he is highly skilled, and watching him effortlessly run through the corners is adrenaline pumping.)

Can someone explain to me why they drift on the asphalt parts of the track? Isn't drifting supposed to be slower?
It's setup to be fast on both surfaces, to set a car up to be this fast/balanced is a skill in itself and the true reason behind his speed. Make the car tight on the asphalt and you hamper it's dirt handling characteristics.
