      Thank you Sylvia. Most of it has to do with the clarity of color and the textured edges. I will post more soon. I do teach, but mostly online. I have an online floral class that just started on JansenArtOnline.com The class runs for 8 months, self-paced and we will have about 100 hours of class instruction. There is also a forum for questions and we will have some LIVE question, answer and paint sessions as well. I love our online classes. :)

    Wow, I love your flower style. It's just so elegant. This is just spectacular!! I've been on a floral kick lately, but I lean so hard to realism (unwillingly) LOL! and would love to paint more in the style that you do. I'll have to make due with the colors I have, but do you have a favorite recommendation for a dry time extender?

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  6 років тому +1

      Hi Maggie, I am a paint chemist so please believe me when I say that you should only use the Extenders designed for the product line of colors you are using. Not all are the same, especially the new generation acrylics. Not all acrylics and oils are the same. I know many cross platform their media, but that is not a good practice unless you ask the chemist for the products. :) Thanks much!

    Hi, You are the teacher who needs me, how do I do to understand you. The art you teach interests me a lot, but I take a lot of time to read the subtitles (and fortunately they exist). I speek franch.I thank you deeply for the videos, even if I take time to read the subtitles at least I learn with you by watching the brushstrokes. Thank you for your kindness. They have to invent a youtube with an oral translator.

      @@JansenArtEducation Hello,
      Thank you very much for your answer. Yes it would be great, but in the meantime the development of technology I will continue to learn this unique art that way. I want to say a big thank you for all the videos available to us. I already realize my dream by following your explanations for the realization of the rose and the flowers, the result is just incredible, the people around me say that it's real and that we want to harvest them, and I tell you it's the first time I do it. For this reason I tell you again and again and again thank you very much.

    David how do you clean your brushes

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  6 років тому

      Hi Barbara, Most of the time I just stick them in Extender Medium because I paint everyday. If I am not going to paint for a few days, I clean them with hand soap. If you have old dried paint in your brushes you can use Motsenbockers Latex paint remover. I use it when I have a brush that paint has dried in. Takes it right out. Follow the labeled instructions.

    That was wonderful! ... wonder whether boards work cheaper than canvas... canvas is way costly on this part of the planet !! :-)

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  8 років тому +1

      +ArtEWorld Yes they do not cost nearly as much as canvas, but I used them because I do not like the "spring" of canvas when I paint. I like hard surface to push the brush into. Better control for me.

    • @arteworld
      @arteworld 8 років тому

      Oh yeah, right. But then, just one more question, sorry ... :-) ... are you able to show the side thickness after framing the board as you would in case of the stretched canvas? Or we leave it flat?
