Fun fact: December 20 is the feast day of the martyrdom of Saint Ignatius celebrated in the eastern orthodox church since the beginning. For many people these apostolic letters are just being discovered, but in reality they have been an integral part of ancient eastern orthodox-Catholic holy tradition. Mr. Glynn you did a fine job reading it.

I’ve never heard of this book until today and I couldn’t get past chapter 7 without pausing and writing a short essay on it. My mind opened up with that harp metaphor!

    Matthew 5:17-20
    King James Version
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. ✝️

Any one who is claiming to be wise and claiming that this book is false, needs to be specific to what has been written wrong in this book and why we should not regard this book of scriptures

Reverence towards the bishop the same as God? That's insane. Bible Psalms says if you put your trust in men you're already doomed.
Now Don't do anything without the bishops knowledge otherwise you'd be doing the will of the devil? More BS insane false teaching. You are the church your body is the temple and the false religion bishop has no business in Israel but only rome which are just a bunch of pagans from Babylonia. 3rd your Eucharist is the god sun worship... you can't fool me. All that I mentioned is on around 1 hour and 15 minutes mark

@FiladelfiaNow Polycarp was a bishop who lived in reverence with Jesus and who was the leader of the church and was also martyred for his sake. So it is asking the church to live in reverence with him in one body and mind and soul.

No where in the scriptures "a man of God is devoured by an animal" except for a prophet in the old testament who was killed by a lion because he didn't obey God's command. Man is created by God's image and whoever obeys the Lord, no animal can harm him or no poison can kill him.

It is both arrogant and presumptuous to deny the organization of Christ’s Church in the early centuries, especially considering the context of persecution that Christians faced. Since the first century, Christians organized themselves into communities, celebrating the Eucharist, as evidenced by numerous historical accounts and the writings of the early Church Fathers.
The Eucharist, the transfiguration of bread, and the sacraments were already practiced and recognized by the disciples of the apostles. If the early Christians - directly taught by those who lived alongside Christ - practiced these rituals, it is clear that such practices originated with the apostles and have been transmitted from the very beginning of the Church.
To deny this historical continuity is to ignore not only the biblical texts but also the records of Tradition. The writings of Saint John Chrysostom, Eusebius of Caesarea, Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Tertullian, Saint Anthony, Saint Jerome, and Saint Augustine, among others, confirm the existence of an organized Church from its earliest days. The Patristics offer a rich and undeniable foundation for the continuity and consolidation of the Church.
If someone is confident in their faith and in the “church” they believe they’ve built in their own home, they should not feel the need to debate or attack the Catholic Church. Those who possess the truth do not fear history, nor do they need to distort facts to support their arguments. The history of the Church cannot be reduced to isolated texts but is upheld by a living body of faith, practice, and organization that has existed for two millennia.
I encourage you to deepen your study by reading authors like Daniel Rops and other historians who have documented the richness and depth of the Church’s history. The truth is clear to those who have the humility and courage to seek it.

None is over the Messiah not even equal to. To say that the bishop (I. E. Catholic Church) is equal to him and should be treated as so is absolute LIES and blasphemy. We have one father who is in heaven and one rabbi who is Yahusha Ha'Mashiach or you may know him (the lawless one that Rome made up) Jesus Christ. Come out of her my people or be partakers of her plagues!

Or maybe… you don’t understand the ancient church , or the role of the orthodox bishop. You do realize that these letters were on par with St Paul for hundreds of years. It’s part of what is called pre-canonical literature, with canonical meaning “read during Divine Liturgy”… depending on your distance from the ancient church the less legitimate these 7 books seem. The ancient church was not sola Scriptura, nor was it it Masoretic. It was apostolic and used the Septuagint. If these letters disagree with your sensibilities, that is because your formation was post reformational and your notions of ecclesiology are modern.
After texts like these come the rest of the Apostolic Fathers into the great Apologists and then the ecumenical councils. It’s just church history

I hear you. Bishops are absolutely not what they used to be.
I personally believe that Jesus returned around 70 AD, delivered all the judgments describe in the book of Revelation and then established his kingdom over the entire earth after binding Satan in Tartarus. Unfortunately, for most of humanity right now we are in the “short season” when Satan has been released from his prison and allowed to device all the nations to go to war against the camp of the saints. Then when they try it, fire rains down from heaven and literally wipes them all off the face of the Earth.
The camp of the saints is where all the resurrected martyrs with glorified bodies who lived and ruled with Jesus during the millennial kingdom moved to when the thousand years were finished. Some people believe this is located in the North Pole.
Anyway, the Bishops in that gap between Jesus first and second coming (70 years) were very different from the Bishops during our wicked time and these evil clowns feeding on children could never write this, nor could they bear to read it:
“I do not issue orders to you, as if I were some great person. For though I am bound for the name of Christ, I am not yet perfect in Jesus Christ. For now I begin to be a disciple, and I speak to you as fellow-disciples with me.
For it was needful for me to have been stirred up by you in faith, exhortation, patience, and long-suffering.
But inasmuch as love suffers me not to be silent in regard to you, I have therefore taken upon me first to exhort you that ye would all run together in accordance with the will of God. For even Jesus Christ, our inseparable life, is the manifested will of the Father, as also bishops, settled everywhere to the utmost bounds of the earth, are so by the will of Jesus Christ.”

@robertsirico3670 Deuteronomy 13:4 our Messiah is the word made flesh and would NEVER teach anyone to do the opposite. That's the anti Messiah. Deuteronomy 5 goes hand and hand with Mathew 5. Shalum. It is you that needs to separate from the indoctrination of the church and just be learned of the one who gives you life. None are higher than him. NONE

We trust no man, unlike you we weren't deceived with a false gospel erupting out from the false religion.
