The top 8 did songs to Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morissette this week and the first song was called Guardian by Alanis Morisette. Iam and Oliver did their duet to Photograph by Ed Sheeran also that night which you already watched previously. Iam dedicated his performance of Guardian to his Mother Lillie and that performance got him to the top 5. The following week was Disney week which is why Katy is dressed as Mrs Incredible. The top 5 each performed 2 songs which were the two you did, Lava and Father and Son. At the end of the night they announced the top 3. For the top 3 the following week was their Homecoming and also the finale week. During the finale the top 3 performed 2 songs each. For Iam those were Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban and Cool Down by Kolohe Kai. Since James Blunt was one of the guest performers that night, he ended up doing a duet with Iam of Monsters. With Iam announced the winner he also sang for his winners song I'll Be Seeing You, which was written by fellow American Idol alum Francisco Martin VI from season 18.
