Last Words of Three Different Generations of the Dennis's Dirty Den - "You'll never get me out of the Vic!" Dennis Rickman Sr. - "We did it" Dennis Rickman Jr. - "I thought I was gonna..."
Couldn't agree more mate, this has to be the most anti-climactic death for an iconic character ever, they could of at least killed him off in a explosion, or even another whodunnit storyline in the style of his first canal death.
Zoe strikes Den with the doorstop, then goes upstairs while Den reveals to Chrissie that Zoe didn't kill him after all and then Chrissie strikes him with the doorstop and finishes him off for good with Zoe unaware that she didn't really kill him. Isn't this also what happens with Michael Moon's death?
Damn shame that they took such a risk and made such an effort to resurrect him, only to kill him off again within a few months. I think it was a really stupid move to leave no way back for him.
Considering his webcam video, the fact that he talked shit about cast and crew members and the fact the ratings dropped significantly I'd say they did the right thing
I remember also some claims in the press that Steve McFadden didn't get along with him. They were desperately trying to woo him back to rescue the ratings, but apparently were forced into choosing between the two of them and ultimately gave Grantham the chop. It's a shame that real life events involving the actors scuppered something which, for a while, was working out really well. In terms of the fiction, Dirty Den had lots of mileage on the show.
+97channel I was so angry when they killed Den off in 2005 that I stopped watching Eastenders for 10 years until 2015. I watched Eastenders from 1985 to 2005 including the Canal shooting and 14 years of suspense only for him to be killed off in crappy 2005. Total waste! ......Did hear the story lines for much of the period 2005-2014 were shit. Only got better when Danny Dyer and the Carters moved in so that's when I started to watch it again.
I don't get that they all asked Chrissie what to do and then she went into 'hide the body' mode, then in the next episode they turned on her like she killed Den. What's up with that? I'm so happy to finally see this scene up here considering I watched it on PBS channel 539 and this whole scene was cut out. Thank you!
Kim's so much better than that Hooker Daniella Westbrook...I love Sam and Zoe's reactions..What are you doing I don't know do I...I love when he comes back to life...So Really he's comes back to life twice..The way he's sitting makes the whole thing more scary
Exactly, and speaking of OTT - do you remember what finished off Brookside? It was the arrival of the Simpson family in 1996. That idiotic incest storyline completely knocked the stuffing out of the show, and afterwards it really was like the writers didn't care anymore. But then why would they care? They'd already plumbed the depths of depravity with Nat and Georgia Simpson. Brookside after 1996 was a waste of time - and that's being overly charitable! :)
Chrissie: 'I may not be the first woman in your life, Den. But I'm definitely gonna be the last.' Den: 'You'll never get me out of the vic!' Den's final words to Chrissie. When he grabs her leg. She grabs the doggy doorstop object, wacks him hard on the head. Den then dies.
Dirty dens return never worked because there was too many ego's in the square phil mitchell, johnny allan, andy hunter and dennis rickman.. when he was first in eastenders he was the only ego in the square and the same for dennis rickman he came when there was to many ego's shame really I would of kept them both alive the show could do with them now... it seems everytime there is a ego on the square he has to go to war with phil (or one of the branning brothers) and leave or be killed off or just turn soft so they can stay on the show long term like mick carter or vince hubbard, i was expecting great things from them
Utter bollocks. Eastenders had been going downhill big-time for a few years and the disastrous return of 'Dirty Den' was the final straw for me. Haven't watched an episode since.
Last Words of Three Different Generations of the Dennis's
Dirty Den - "You'll never get me out of the Vic!"
Dennis Rickman Sr. - "We did it"
Dennis Rickman Jr. - "I thought I was gonna..."
This Sam Mitchell was way better than Danniella Westbrook.
Yes she was
Indy T * yup 💯
Daniella Westbrook is a junkie
Much better and made Sam a more likeable character whether she was being good or bad
Agree... Better actress and better looking.
Tracy-Ann Oberman - Outstanding!
Due for release soon. 2005 - 2020 ( Minimum)
1:19 who the hell cuts a square cake like that XD
Ian Beale
Captain price

it was scary when den woke up
*400K Subscribers for EastEnders on the Verge of the 40th Anniversary. Congratulations, EastEnders!! 🎉*
Can't believe he's dead now R.I.P Leslie Grantham
What a sad way to kill off a great character. Den Watts deserved better. Wish he was still in EE.
2:06 you can see it's a dummy lying there in case the real actor got accidentally injured
Didn't notice untill I read your comment lol

Surely there should have been a little bit of blood shown on Den's head after being whacked with a cast iron door stop twice? :O ...
Its the other way around, Since Den died before Archie came into EastEnders!

Eastenders Charlie Angels have killed Dirty Den for Good in Albert Square.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇
Did you know 2 old men had there skull smashed who both been killed in the vic by women 1 chrissie 2 stacey
i wonder if they asked Sam 2 testify during Chrissie's trial because Sam witnessed Chrissie murder Den
Such a waste of a character they brought back after nearly 15 Years
I don't get that they all asked Chrissie what to do and then she went into 'hide the body' mode, then in the next episode they turned on her like she killed Den. What's up with that? Sam looks like ronnie here
Just like Alice & Janines storyline with Michael
YOU’LL NEVER GET ME OUT OF THE VIC
'CHRISSIEE!!'😀
unlike steve & Mathew Burying Saskias body in 1999 ,
there was NO scenes showing dens body being moved.
It went from Friday to Monday
Den was going to kill Chrissi and she had the cheek to say "you killed my husband" then kill him herself
@TheLeeW2010 that's not a mistake, if you die with your eyes open it can shut after a while.
Abby Fennessy no that's not at all true if you die with your eyes open then they stay open until someone closes them
Kim's so much better than that Hooker Daniella Westbrook...I love Sam and Zoe's reactions..What are you doing I don't know do I...I love when he comes back to life...So Really he's comes back to life twice..The way he's sitting makes the whole thing more scary
what I can't understand is how he DIDN'T have a pulse when Sam checked his wrist - he was DEAD.
..and then suddenly started bloody TALKING!! Weird.
His pulse must have been very weak.
+Ricky H It can be hard to find a pulse even when someone is perfectly fine sometimes
This is Sam she isn't the sharpest knife in the draw
It was covered in the script by Sam saying she didn't know what she was doing
sam probs didnt take the pulse ryt shes dumb
Should never have killed Dirty Den off again.
What did Sam say at 0:41?
ScottieGirl20 It's a piece of tat
too bad they didn’t show the scene when Sharon and den were talking outside before he was killed

And that was the end of dirty den
Auntie vale came a long way
This was one of the most unrealistic deaths ever it was quite clear that she hit the floor lol come on EE
Chrissie: 'I may not be the first woman in your life, Den. But I'm definitely gonna be the last.'
Den: 'You'll never get me out of the vic!'
Den's final words to Chrissie. When he grabs her leg. She grabs the doggy doorstop object, wacks him hard on the head. Den then dies.
Yes, but most of the time we utter that phrase in bed....
Here after EE's 2023 Christmas special.
Vengeful women ending up feeling guilty after killing a man!
Chrissie was cold

Why the hell didn't Sam tell Zoe the truth?
I know how weird is that
Zoe is a typical Slater.... shouts
Utter bollocks. Eastenders had been going downhill big-time for a few years and the disastrous return of 'Dirty Den' was the final straw for me. Haven't watched an episode since.
Do they not have self defense laws in the UK lol?
No unfortunately we don’t, it’s always the original perpetrator that gets looked after and gets away scott free 🙄
Why didn't Sam say anything
shock
lol and they have the same behavior and personality
@YoJimBoHugabaJoe Yes they can act...
Isn’t Chrissie in love with her dad??? Bc her and Sharon are sisters..
Her and sharon aren't sisters. Chrissie is Den's wife!
EastEnders isn't as good as it used to be
Eastenders death scenes are always so crap..
What is the "homosexual agenda," exactly?
Hehehehehehehe
man none of those women can act can they
