I met them after a show around 2005. I was talking to Sascha and then Lucia showed up and after a few moments she started freaking out because she had lost a fan's email address she had just got. She was genuinely concerned saying things like "No! She's gonna think I'm such a bitch. I told her I'd email her..." She was sincerely upset at the idea of disappointing a fan. I was really impressed.
that is one reason besides great music I like KMFDM they really care about their fans more than most bands
Yep, that's Lucia. Happen before when I gave her my contact number a event on 14st near Union Square. One of my friends who volunteer for Lords of Acid told me she bugged out for miss placing my number which is crazy because of also misplaced the photo shot I took with Sascha and I was in rage when I got back home. Sascha and Lucia are very cool and awesome to hangout with if you met them in person.
@@jthomas3909 Great people!
I saw them about the same time. The venue kicked everyone out after the show and we were waiting around outside in the cold and rain as one does in Ohio. The band made the venue let everyone back in so that they could meet each of us personally. Nicest. Band. Ever.
5 years later...She is clearly concerned for their fans and is appreciative of them because she will still answer fan comments on Instagram.
Wow they're still hot.
agree both look healthy and in shape
I saw them about a decade ago, and I can't say they've changed much.
Yeah hes okay. Def badass for sure.
Well, Sascha is ;)
Realistically, Sascha should be played by Gary Oldman. Great interview!
Seriously the best band in the world. Coolest people ever, you can just tell that.
Choose a volume guys!
They’re Germans
All the way to 11!
@@WillKnight-vy8jwyeah.. gonna listen to that right now.
Fire your editor.
Well not only KMFDM opened for RAMMSTEIN. But also RAMMSTEIN opened for KMFDM (for 8 shows back in 1997 US Tour). The Kaptn’ is too modest to mention it. And maybe RAMMSTEIN was not that “Boa” on those first concerts in America. :)
What is "boa?"
I LOVE YOU LUCIA!! girl crush!!!
Same! She's adorable!
Rebels in Kontrol is indeed awesome!! Her vocals are amazing there. She also sounds so badass in PARADISE.
And damn, just about every song she sings in Hau Ruck. Sooo fucking good.
Goddamn it, I'm like, the biggest fan of KMFDM and you can't hear jack shit except the music booming in between questions
try headphones
chazm00 worse
I like Lucile's laugh. It puts a smile on my face. Sacha is cool. You guys should make a movie where you go on tour and there is a government conspiracy where the Feds are after you because there is some kind of code in your new album and song lyrics that has the Nuke codes or the government's plans to do a false flag in the US and KMFDM figures it out and puts it in the song lyrics and has to try and escape from them and try to release the album or finish the album. There is a lot of cool ways you can go with this. Gun fights, bombs exploding, nightmares and demonic presences and even near death experiences and the ending could be where the band barely escapes after killing the main bad guy in the FBI and go into hiding in the underground. It could be similar to the TV show "24" very fast paced and driven and you could put you KMFDM songs in the movie. I would watch it.
Holy shit that would be awesome
except their music is programming .... and no, the gov wouldn't be after them because the gov has clearly hired/created/founded them to make music programming to harm young people in a big way.
And in the end sascha takes off his sunglasses
this is crazy
I fucking love this band
They seem so down to earth that's awesome. Love KMFDM ❤❤❤
Sweet couple. I met them after a show in Austin a few years ago. Surprisingly they weren't busy talking to any fans and they saw me creeping up and acknowledged me and took a pic with me and my ex at the time and I was star struck but just said thank you lol. 🖤
Good shit some real funny stuff in there I just love Lucia's laugh. Bumaye is a bitching song from them shes amazing in that and everything else.
I took a boot to the head at Clutch Cargoes in Pontiac Mi during an MDFMK show. Lucia gave me a hug afterword. She's rad.
Keep your shit going, been following for 20+ years now, you're absolutely amazing.
30 years of listening to KMFDM, and still counting...
nice, drug against war is my favorite too.
Witness is such a good track. I love Nina's part.
KMFDM forever
Kmfdm ❤ 🇦🇷
What does AR mean and how do you make it?
@Rubén thank you! I have been wondering for YEARS!
I love KMFDM
2:10 so you have to stand on the highway in the pouring rain waiting for a van to pick you up as opposed to waiting inside the bus in the pouring rain?
I love when he said, i dont download, i buy records!
He's got real Bruce Willis vibes... I'm surprised he didn't say he should play him in the movie!
Lucia is so fine! I LOVE YOU KMFDM!!!!
Damn, her laugh makes me laugh, too!
''cleaning toilets in a nite club'' haha
I fucking love them :)
Y m still old your fan guis you are stll cool!

FAVORITE SONG FROM KMFDM➡️VIRUS

OMG are they talking about Nina Hagen being drunk with bottles of red wine and talking about aliens?! Damn, that does sound like her lol KMFDM sucks and nina does too lml
I knew he would say Rammstein before he answered the question for some reason hOly hEck
What is the song playing in the background?
Amnesia
@@Aerobix Thanks, I couldn't quite remember.
Either Jennifer Lawrence or the hot goth chic from NCIS could play Lucia in a movie.
what's the song at 00:07?
It's called Amnesia
Martinez Eric Wilson Michael Martinez Kevin
What's up with the shity audio editing?
Loud ass music between the questions, their mics are very quiet.
Come on.
Actually Gary Oldman could play Sacha in a movie.
0:49 song?
amnesia
I got offended when you said you opened for Rammstein. It should've been the other way around.
soooo quiet :(
What does K M F D M stand for...???
It was a mystery back in the early 90's. Their first album in 1984 had the full name, but only people in Germany would've been able to know that and they weren't big then. Fans began to speculate, and the number one answer in a survey they did was "Kill Mother Fucking Depeche Mode", which became another one of their inside jokes they shout out occasionally.
I say that to add more context to the band, but KMFDM stands for "Kein Merheit Fur Die Mitleid", or "No Majority For the Pity". (Merheit and MItleid are switched around for whatever reason).
The one question they didn't answer...
Was weißt du Deutschland?
Kaptn dressed as PeeWee?!?! I'd LOVE to see that!!!
What are the songs in the background of the interview?
Amnesia
#1 Question: Why did you piss off Gunther and En Esch so badly that they left? This new iteration of KMFDM with Skold and Lucia is trash, honestly. You would have been better with Raymond Watts back in the band using his guys to replace those two. Instead you completely changed your sound and sold your soul in the process. Skold is a Manson washout. I met Lucia at a concert when she first came on board and she strike me as arrogant and completely disrespectful. I suppose all good things must come to an end, but change the name at least to MDFMK. KMFDM has been dead for years...
wow, you talk mad trash about Skold - he literally wrote all of mansons material between 02-07, as far as K goes their biggest selling period was with Skold on the mic. Shultz and Esch had a shot during the same time period to blow people out of the water, and didn't. and, uh, Skold left in 2002 so check your dates. he plays in Psyclon9 now.
you know Sascha asked Esch if he wanted to return years ago and Esch declined. And now where is Esch? I don’t recall Slick Idiot having that huge a fan base.
If you think HELL YEAH as an album is trash then idk what to do for you
The new KMFDM is much better than when Nick was with them. Nick was, frankly, an arrogant asshole (and I only knew him from being in the scene in New Orleans when I lived there, he was still in KMFDM but talked trash about Sasha whenever the band was brought up. Nick was an arrogant coward who was afraid of me, for reasons I never did find out (I was too drunk to remember what I said to him that scared him so bad, and no-one else over heard it at that party.)
And, Nick's solo career speaks for itself.
When we're they good? Cool album covers. That is all
@@Erosolvent psyclon9..... there also dead.
Question: Sascha are you ever going bury the hatchet and reform the original KFMDM with Guther? Hmm? So full of yourself are you?
Hell Yeah and Paradise proved they’re fine without Gunther. And Gunther had his chance to go back.
Why should they work with an inferior musician who hated the band and its music when he was in it? Nick was talking shit about Sascha for years before he left the band, I lived in New Orleans and was friends with the guy Nick was having sex with at the time (whose name was David), and I was the only person in New Orleans Nick met that had been to Germany, so we had many conversations until he became scared by me, apparently because I was still lucid after drinking over a bottle of tequila at a party.
They've actually become an interesting band without him, going beyond gradeschool blind aggression to something actually thought provoking.
On camera, in an interview, they seem like nice well-rounded people. In reality, these two both made me lose respect for what KMFDM has become. They stick their nose up at anyone who even looks at them while they're near a stage. When it comes to the fans who pay their bills, they would rather bite the hand that feeds. KMFDM always was and always will be when EN Esch and Raymond Watts were involved
I've seen them live seven times and interacted with them on several occasions. I have never seen what you described.
i think you're full of shit. I've seen them off stage. They're wonderful people
I never saw KMFDM when Nick was in the band as their music then, frankly, was boring as fuck. I did see Nick get pulled off stage by an audience member at a Pigface show (and helped pull the guy off Nick when they landed at my feet. Nick hated KMFDM's music from that period as well, and he hated Sascha. He was still in the band, however.
Sorry, but En Esch aka Nick was just an asshole that they are better off without.
2/10 for you're effort troll and thanks for playing.
Lucia is a fucking real life cyber punk super heroine.
azimovist truth
Fucken A she is. She's at the top of the fucken heap! Lucia and KMFDM is at the top of their game right now.
Seeing Rammstein open for KMFDM on their first US tour completely blew me away.
Its nice to see how down to Earth they seem.
I live in Austin now and I'm so sad I didn't get to see that show back in 97
Rammstein has nothing in common with KMFDM. so its strange that they opened for these clowns.
@@spirocorbett3839 You ignorant swine
Nither Rammstein nor KMFDM are clowns and they toured with one and otehr throught the 90's with KMFDM healdining. It's only fair Rammstein repays the favour@@spirocorbett3839
@@spirocorbett3839I like both and you are a rodeo clown.
Words cant describe how much life their music gives me in such a dead world. i love this band so much, their music has gotten me through the worst times in my life and kept me afloat
Her laugh is amazing to listen to
Man I love Lucia's laugh
if I met lucia I would die. I would fall to the ground and start convulsing. my number one idol
Well, you should know she hates people like you.
So underrated
Id love to see KMFDM, Rammstein, and Combichrist on tour someday. Shame i missed KMFDM and Rammstein on tour back in the day.
KMFDM fucking sucks! Rock on guys, come back to Houston soon!
Great down to Earth folks, I've met Sascha a few times at Providence, Rhode Island shows. As big as they are for an underground band with a cult following. I was always impressed when he was the person selling merch at the merch table and would give you 5-10 minutes of his time to just chat.
are you a bot? lick his cheeks a bit harder you creep.
When I saw KMFDM in San Diego they came in like an hour and half late, I think their opener had to play for even longer to make up for it, then they played their set and once they were done they just left, they didn't hang around.
I don't hold it against them or anything since I don't know what's going on with them personally, my guess was that they had to leave immediately to go up to LA for the next show and set up there.
1:04 I've never felt prouder to be an Australian and a KMFDM fan haha
You can see the truth of METAL behind those aviators
They seem like a really happy couple, good for them!
Wow they are so cool and down to earth. Love that
I swear that's Maynard james keenan playing a character.
LOL!
hahahaha good one mate
He's been playin it since before Maynard hit puberty....
This was a fantastic video, just because I got to see Lucia clearly, without all the fast cuts in the videos, and learn a little about what she's like.
Drug Against War
2:34 Lucia shoutout to Sisters of Mercy
Love KMFDM
Incredible band! Lucia has such a great voice and is so damn attractive, too 😄
Sascha sounds like he hardly has an accent here. Pretty great speaking voice.
Great story about Nina.
I have seen em long ago in Halifax NS I was having beers with them. great people and they kicked ass that night
Sisters of Mercy?! Holy shit. I found Sisters shortly before I found KMFDM and often alternated brtween listening to both bands. No way Lucia listed them 😂
Love their music, however their message is a very biased and ignorant take on American politics. You can't just demonize one side when the other does the exact same thing.. Go back to the anarchist-system renewal tone you guys had before.
For real he just said fav song "A Drug Against War", that's my favorite! so cool to hear that. Probably a lot of people's fav but still awesome to hear its Sascha's too.
Their music is fucken awesome!!! Her voice and personality is amazing.
4:50 That laugh right there reminded me of the very beginning of "Moron"
Stupid questions, jeez!! I'd be asking them about their setup and programming
Cringe is the people from this channel not asking questions on camera, to top it off, some questions are too superficial and stupid, childish even. I was expecting more into-their-topic questions. Like "what impulsed them to make songs such as Dogma"
Лючия оказывается такая хохотушка. Она просто прелесть.
Basically tells everyone to never work with Nina "but she's very nice." lol
Her laughs are so cute
Who let their child edit this? Most of the answers are cut off from the start and not everyone got to voice their answer.
Favorite kmfdm track.. really hard for me to choose one, but it woukd have to be Anarchy.
‘I never download anything I buy records’
I’ve never downloaded anything
I BUY RECORDS! ⚙︎⚒︎⚁☯︎☨☘︎
You can tell he has lived in cities with decent record stores. For some of us, downloading is the only way to find out what is worth buying when it comes to new stuff
Lucia is great in Amnesia and the remake of Boots Made for Walking.
KMFDM has been one of my all time favorite bands for a long time. Love their music and love their message.
I am learning guitar and have the same ESP one that the KMFDM players use!
Band is amazing, interview is cool, but this video editing is disappointing. Their voices are so quiet compared to the loud music.
Sisters of mercy nice
Legendas, por favor!!!!!!!!
What actor? BRUCE WILLIS!! OF COURSE! How nobody thought of that?
Was what I thought also
What's the background track? It kicks ass.
Its "Amnesia", its on the WTF album
you cant hear anything they are saying and music is god awful loud, very disappointing
Yee! 2024
They are still very atmospheric, autumnal and breathtaking.
Every autumn (when another wave covers my head and different thoughts and feelings roll in) I do a marathon and completely immerse myself in them.
Thank them very much for everything they do. And I wish them great success and may the goddess Tiamat favor them and may good luck and prosperity always accompany them.
They're always in my soul, my heart and my head.
Glory to Klistier Mega Fickin Deutch Mothafukaz (KMFDM)!!!
Great Dúo! Nice interview
It’s funny Sascha still hates on rammstein 20 plus years later not a fan but there show was amazing he also hates on Trent.
