It only works twice. I can use 96 litres twice, then after that i won't work again, so have pay, then fill up again then pay for the 3rd. Pain in the ass haha!
Great vid deady especially getting a shock from the stove lol & if you didn’t already, open your window abit when you put stove on so you won’t get gassed out lol

However for the CPC im still not sure on what to study, did you use any good resources for that or reccomend a book for it? many thanks!
Nice video. Tramping is good once you get into a routine. The sleeping gets better the more tired you get. 😆 The best advice for reversing is always try and point your trailer where you want it to go before you start going backwards. Good luck!
That is very true mate, it's hard sometimes getting the procedure right to get the trailer in the right place lol! Sometimes it goes completely tits up hahaha
The best way to start reversing is not to go straight into what you do on test. Best way is to get a yard with a painted line on it or a join in the concrete, then reverse in a straight line. It teaches which way to turn the wheel using small corrections, then work up to tighter manoeuvres. I passed my artic test 14 years ago at 21 and still make an arse of it at times. Hope you find some work soon to tide you over. 👍🏼
Formula truck stop (near ellesmere port) is a great stop gd food gd showers if ur company is on snap you dont pay also down load intruck app tells you where all the services are truck stops what ones are on snap and what ones ant also tells you the price and some tell you how many spaces are left but dnt always go by that as dont always update them as i have found out

I thought it would be great sleeping out, but I couldn't switch off and sleep in the truck all that well. Worst week of my life. The final nail in the coffin was when I pull into a service station only one space left. Really looking forward to getting my head down and then I hear the truck next to me pull out and what's it replaced by a bloody refrigerator truck! That was a brilliant experience having that buzzing of fridge next to me all night! Lots of people said you should of got out and turned it off. 🤷♂️

Hi mate. Been thinking about getting in to trucking for years now and think this year I may just go for it. Wondering if you could explain how the money side of tramping works, if you wouldn't mind, as literally everywhere i've looked doesn't explain it at all. How are you paid? Is it flat rate per week/month, depends on your driving time, X hours per day and are you paid through the night while resting? Also, what are the shifts like, is it week on week off? Cheers.
Depends where u work mate. Some pay hourly rate ie Keedwells pay £10 per hour for the work you do. I’m salary upto 50 hours per week anything over is overtime. Nights out are £25 per night tax free. Expenses ie parking up for the night, you pay but get the money back at the end of the week. So, if you work 50 hours a week and have 4 nights out and you’re on £10 per hour, you’ll get paid £500 minus tax & insurance plus £100 for nights out. If you’re salary you get your salary wage call it £500 plus overtime call it £100 plus nights out money. Shift patterns are Mon-Fri every week.
@@Deady2012 Thanks mate that's very clear. Do you tramp every week? £10 per hour is hard to believe considering us home shopping guys are now on over £9 per hour just zipping around in our little vans all day. I'd say the HGV industry is overdue a pay rise!

What day did you say your weekly videos come out
A chap at BP told me if you use the car pump and it clicks off at about £100 you dont need to pay then go back and carry on fuelling just replace the nozzle and put it straight back In your tank and repeat until you are full then when you pay it all gets totalled on one bill. 👍
It only works twice. I can use 96 litres twice, then after that i won't work again, so have pay, then fill up again then pay for the 3rd. Pain in the ass haha!
@@Deady2012 😂😂 it is with a big tank yeah. Glad its going well for you and work is consistent throughout the Lurgi going around.
Great vid deady especially getting a shock from the stove lol & if you didn’t already, open your window abit when you put stove on so you won’t get gassed out lol
Always smiling always positive great watch once again mate especially with all the crap going on in the world atm keep it up buddy stay safe
Thanks a lot mate :)
How’s the tramping going ?
And if your still using gas to boil your water I would recommend leaving it out of the fridge does two things makes it less cold and quicker heat up and saves space in your fridge 😀
Great video once again Deady, your well on track for 10k subs. The content just keeps getting better and better, I like that shirt too!
Just a tip mate always take your keys out every time as if it locks your fucked lol. Happened to a colleague couple weeks back and he got an infringement for going over 6 hours lol as he couldn't put it on break. If not leave the window down a bit.
Hi mate,
I do my Theory & hazard on 4th April then onto C Licence before going c + e straight after
Don't know what will happen with this bullshit now buddy! But i wish you the best of luck!
Deady 2012 yep, day after I posted this my test theory and hazard got postponed indefinitely and the CPC can’t be run till July. Just have to wait
Enjoy mate, done 15 years tramping up to Liverpool from Essex which was my route at my old.firm I deff do not miss it lol. Is it still 25 quid night out money? Back in the day we never used to get night out money
Yeah mate 25 a night plus any services you use you get that back too.
I love it mate, like living in a man cave.
@@Deady2012 I've always said night out money should be a quater of your day rate. Fair play if you love it it ruined my social life had a large group of friends before I started tramping slowly getting my social life back since I gave it up. More to life than work mate. You still busy through this lockdown?
@@lionsroar9811 I don't have a social life, i have my Mrs and my daughter so that doesn't bother me. My Mrs works long hours, so we don't see much of each other during the week either, so it works for us to be fair.
I've been laid off mate, no work. I've applied to loads of firms but not heard nothing off anyone. Abit shit to be honest buddy!
@@Deady2012 Join the club mate nothing around my neck of the woods even volunteered should hopefully be a fair bit once this is over mate
lol re: Reward cards
When I first started trucking in 1986 I pulled into a fuel servo in Flexistowe to fuel up and a car driver was at the counter with his 50 coupons wondering whether what bowl to get with his freebie.
I stuck 700 litres in and they said... "Just take what you want Drive" !!
The guy look at me with dismay as I picked up an entire box set of bowls & Cups (Frosties. etc)
I did that here in uk, Sainsbury’s store give a nectar point per £1 of fuel, snobby old git had got 15 points, he said I would like my points without manners, I rock up and fill the tanks with £500 the look on his face when I said it pays for Christmas haha
Hahaha! 2 quality stories hahaha!
Mate this vid has cheered me right up, this covid19 has put my class 2 job on hold I'm gutted... great vid again mate.
Danny Farrimond same boat mate, I’m on immunosuppressants so on mega lockdown for the foreseeable :(
@@AlexanderJames-gn5lb it's shite mate I am jobless as I have served my notice at my place to join this place and get a phone call saying your induction is on hold due to everything what's going on...
It's shit mate! I know LOADS of lads who's had Training or Inductions put on hold.
Brilliant video as always, very positive what we need in this current climate, stay safe and healthy 👍👍
Thanks mate :) You too buddy!
Funny knowing all soldiers always have baby bedding 🤣🤣🤣love it great video

Thanks a lot mate! Appreciate your kind comment!
Recently just found your channel, great to watch as this is the closest ill get to seeing the life of a truck driver! I went for my medical last year and failed at the first hurdle! Been my dream job since i was in school but life goes on i suppose! Keep up the vlogs!
How come buddy? If you don't mind me asking? Is it not something that can be resolved? Hope it is mate! Fingers crossed!
Deady 2012 my eyesight mate, the prescription for my glasses is too big apparently proper wounding
Hi mate liking the vids youre an inspiration for what I want to be like when I pass my test;)! Got my theory test in 2 weeks with my hazard perception all cool with that. However for the CPC im still not sure on what to study, did you use any good resources for that or reccomend a book for it? many thanks!
You’re doing a great job my man! So down to Earth & amusing 👍🏻
Nice one mate!
I know these vids are fairly old but im fairly new to your videos, i love them haha. My mrs thinks im a right weirdo!!
Anyone would think I’m a millionaire drinking this stuff 😂😂 - perfect definition of cravendale by my man gazza
It's not that much more compared to normal. Plus it lasts longer in the fridge
Is your DAF automatic or manual
Great vlog, great tunes.
Stay safe all, and thanks for sharing.
Well mate I'm 2 days Into tramping in the CF and you was correct 😂
Hahaha! Legend!
Wait until you have to blind side it on to a bay at an RDC, with a wagon already on the bay each side
great vlog mate and its A.L.CAMPBELL v8 lovely looking truck mate.
Stunning truck that! I parked up at the side of him the week after this vlog. Gorgeous!
Formula truck stop (near ellesmere port) is a great stop gd food gd showers if ur company is on snap you dont pay also down load intruck app tells you where all the services are truck stops what ones are on snap and what ones ant also tells you the price and some tell you how many spaces are left but dnt always go by that as dont always update them as i have found out
I've been to formula a few times, never stayed there though. Never actually been in because of the Covid crap lol!
That app sounds belting though mate, i'll deffo give that a look! Cheers bud!
Just started watching your videos after trucker Craig mentioned you alot I've also just subscribed to your channel 👍
came across your channel, starting my c1 training working up towards doing this type of work! shall ask what youre doing now? keep up the hard work mate!!
Check newer vids Bro lol.
@@Deady2012 was half awake, my bad! glad to see youre keeping busy and doing well!
Great to see you are getting into the swing of things with the tipper. As for the madness this country is going through. Don't even get me started. Great Vlog buddie. Safe driving....
Thanks matey :)
That was me beeping on the a483 sat in traffic just outside of Gresford interchange, there was nothing ahead of the traffic just decided it wanted to be a standstill
Hahaha! Yeah man! Nice one 😁
As I’ve to to your comment, just as I’m reading it, the horn was in background !! Perfect timing
Great video as always pal keep her lit and be safe in theses scary times👍
I thought it would be great sleeping out, but I couldn't switch off and sleep in the truck all that well. Worst week of my life. The final nail in the coffin was when I pull into a service station only one space left. Really looking forward to getting my head down and then I hear the truck next to me pull out and what's it replaced by a bloody refrigerator truck! That was a brilliant experience having that buzzing of fridge next to me all night! Lots of people said you should of got out and turned it off. 🤷♂️
Park somewhere else. Like a lay-by on a side road.
I;m yet to sleep in a services, i'm a light sleeper anyway lol, with trucks coming and going all night i'd never sleep... plus its uncomfy in that daf hahaha!
Only saw this channel yesterday and im loving all your content your a legendary guy keep doing what your doing mate👍🏻👍🏻😂😂
You will be ok mate, get some other kit together, loads of hydrated food maybe get a micro wave fitted somehow and a sat tv system, have a chat to someone who is into caravanning you’ll get a lot of knowledge from them, you have just got to grow into it 👍
All the best in the CF pal... I used to struggle in it doing 12 on nights. Ha ha
Its hard work mate haha!
Nice one Deade good job I am not kipping in that cab I am 6’ 4” and would be bent in half lol looking forward to the next one. Tom.
I;m 6'2 mate, it's a squeeze for me hahaha!
Hi mate , my late step father used to night out in a day cab Ford , in the 1970s , he was 6'6 tall , sleep across the seats and have old house curtains around the windows , have a great weekend with the family and take care and drive carefully 👍👍👍 PS can you please give Jackie a shout out as it is her birthday and wedding anniversary on the 3rd next month thanks mate 👍👍👍
I always forget shoutouts mate! I wish i could remember but i always forget!
I'll try and rememeber! Thanks a lot for your nice comment buddy!
Nice industry tips dude, thanks for the upload!👌
I often sleep better in the truck than my own bed lol. As long as i'm not parked next to a bloody fridge! Actually looking forward to getting back from holiday in Scotland into my own trucking bubble and try to forget about all this virus crazyness...as long as i can!
It is deffo an escape from it all being in a truck. It's a world away from the world. Something very relaxing about it. It's a real good feeling pulling back those curtains.
i work in quarry mate just hope we can keep going keep safe tell people stop panic buys theres plenty for all
I hope we can keep going aswell mate! Fingers crossed buddy!
Small donation for the good cause. Good luck to you both when the time comes.
Thanks a lot mate! It's been postponed for now, but it will happen sooner rather than later haha!
Just started watching your vlogs mate, really enjoyed it. Keep it going

Glad you made the grade, and i know just by your attitude you will be top trucker.
Be safe. Be good Regards IAN....PS UP THE BLADES
Mate at least you are allowed out the cab I delivered to one company and they wouldn’t let me out the cab or anything I had to open up the curtains and unstrap the load outside the depot.
Jesus! Going abit far haha!
Great vlog mate glad everything is going well for you I hope you and your family are safe and well look after yourself and be safe
Made me laugh during these uncertain times :) subbed and come on Leeds...Leeds...Leeds!!!

Great video deady how did u find doing the week sleeping out takes awhile to get use to sleeping in the cab
Sorry for being late well done on passing class one I have been so busy at work so catching up with video
No problems buddy! Thanks for watching mate!
Just a quick question but what is the device that you use to record with your action camera in windscreen and if possible do you have a link as I have been looking for one for ages. Keep up with great content have watched all ya vlogs and will do for as long as you keep vlogging
I don't know what you mean mate? The holder? Thats a go pro holder with a swivel head. The camera is a Gopro Hero 7 Black.
@@Deady2012 it the holder I am after. Yours isn't fixed have noticed that it has a little play especially in corners and I prefer that compared to a fixed unit that I have been trialling with
You should be part of the road legends 💙🚛
No Tah haha!
good stuff Gareth nice to c u getting on man
Cheers mate.
I agree average Joe is good. Craig too.
That outro hahaha lub 🤭 great vid mate
Thanks a lot mate :)
Lmao . Brilliant blog mate . I never talked about it but yeah you do make a good point ...I dont think anyone sleep very well in hgvs .
I worst night was when I did a night shift in summer and ran out of driveing time . I pulled up to go to sleep . But my god !!!! It was like been ina cooker !
I left the night heater on, on Wednesday... i woke up pissed wet through with sweat and couldn't breathe, got out at 12:30am and went for a walk in my undies hahaha!
