That is so clever! I am looking for ideas to make an advent calendar in a Harry Potter theme and came across your channel. I only really want to do paper craft/‘cut and stick’ because I really don’t want to buy a huge amount of materials I know I won’t really use again. Hiya, according to the books Purge and dowse is a old closed down department store off of the main shopping areas on regent street or oxford street (I like to think it's a big old Victorian style building off oxford street at the top side where all the milliners (hat makers) used to be. I saw some beautiful old run down buildings there when I worked as a runner for a film company back in 1992 (same time as around the HP story was set) that was based in the heart of Soho. I was 15 at the time too. This really does look like some of the old london buildings though 🙂 I love the windows!

Interesting facts
St Mungo is the founder and patron saint of Glasgow, a city in Scotland. He was born in 518AD and died on 13 January 614AD, being buried in one of Glasgow's cathedrals. His mother is St Enoch, and she is celebrated with a holiday in Glasgow at the start of what we call The Fair Fortnight in July.
Each has a commemoration mural on the gable side of a building in the area of Glasgow around the cathedral, Enoch shown as a mother nursing a child, and Mungo as a man. Each has a robin in the image.

I got the basic house(s?) made. just tiling the roof(s) now.... and i JUST realized a little while ago that I have 2 different color cardstock done on the roofs!!! OI VEY!!!.... OK, Hubby said "just paint over them" lol.... guess I will be doing that then, eh?!

I’m starting to make me a mini pix from a pix I drew and shrunk down. I’m now working on the frame. I watched your Addams’ frame video and the picture I took of a guy at work’s projects to help me out with making my frame. While I’m thinking of it, may I also have a link to that cutting tool you use? My scissors tend to bend the chip board I use.

First off, I love this series and this project. Its awesome! However I am a bit confused on the exterior. I happen to have just finished listening to the OOTP audiobook (again) and the outside is described as a old department store closed for "remodeling". To get in you have to talk to an odd mannequin in severely out of date clothing in the display window front thing, then go through it like 9 3/4. Just thought I would let you know, but please don't take it to mean I don't like what you do. You're great at these.
I think she said she was using the movie's description, which might explain the discrepancy
