Thanks for watching the video. We are actually having trouble finding it again, we tried. Maybe UofT sends it in a link if you call or email the administration.
Dear Dr Hafez, I am always confused about the outcome of IDAPP. After completing year 3/4 of DDS, can students of IDAPP receive the same DDS degree as those who have completed 4-year DDS? Or IDAPP students cannot get any degree, they just have the opportunity to get licensed in Canada? This is very important because if a Canadian dentist wanna practise in US or Australia or Ireland, they must have a DDS degree from a Canadian university, rather than just the dentist license. Thank you very much if you can clarify this😊
If you complete the university pathway, do IDAPP then finish year 3 and 4 of university, you will receive the same DDS as dental students that did 4 years.
@@ScholarsDental I see. Another q: The program awards the student DDS, while it is not the case for the exam pathway. Does someone with DDS, DMD, BDS have any influence on the written/OSCE exams and future employment?
Hi Chitvan, It is still new and we will have to wait and see how it goes for a cycle or two. However, you can expect it to change based on other peoples scores. So it depends on the people that apply in your same cycle and how your score compares to theirs.
Hi Dr hafez, I have a question. How difficult it is to get through if your GPA scores are average not that great but your ADAT scores are excellent.? Also, are they any similar programs that are for 2 years?
Not sure if anyone can answer that, depends on the other factors, interview, the university. But if your GPA is less than the minimum perhaps they won't look at the other criteria. but can't be sure. Second question: Yes our Western University Pathway is coming out soon.
This was really helpful. Thank you Dr Hafez.
You are very welcome
Hi Dr hafez,
Can you provide the link for the website you mentioned for calculating GPA at 3:01? Thank you!

Is this more competitive than the exam pathway?
Both are competitive, you want to keep both option open.
