This game looks awesome! Never heard of it before but it just showed up in my good old games email for Star Trek day. As a huge Star Trek fan, I think I need to buy this one! Star Trek bridge commander looks good too.
Reasons why this Ensign was assigned to the hind end of space: Takes phaser target training due to killing his first landing party due to friendly fire Gets a call to come assist Capt. Picard and takes his time (Family Circus style) Capt. Picard gives him an artifact and orders him to take it to Data, and just stands their until Picard admonishes him Picard comes under attack and Data rushes to help and the Ensign just stands there When he decides to go help, turns around and runs into a door frame, resulting in a head injury runs to Picard, nursing a head injury, and proceeds to shoot several Sonaa innocents Goes to look for the shield array, weapon in hand like it's poop on a stick find control console and approaches a Sonaa sipping some klingon coffee and walks up to him like a one-armed zombie. Spilled coffee on the console shorts it and drops the shield Asks Data if the Sonaa attacked Picard, after already shooting several of them. Causing their aggressive posture Data distracts the Sonaa while the Ensign (and his poor phaser skills) is trusted to handle them At 12:15 Data gets shot by the Ensign 3 times Finds and uses transporter (to his credit) then Picard orders him to report anything strange or unusual. He finds creature in force fields, gets trapped himself, gets out and commits more violence. Ensign is trigger happy. I could go on but you are watching this and noticing the Ensign's dangerous / impertinent behavior. Enjoy lol
I just played through this game for the first time. Its fun especially for a Trek fan but it has its flaws. I feel like the first half on the planet was much more thought out than the final half. Needed more exploration, dialog with NPCs, and obviously longer than just a couple hours in length. But to be honest, its a good template for exactly what I would want out of a Star Trek game.
I just now found out about this cool game through watching the ending of part 2 of TrekCulture's 20 Facts You Didn't Know About Star Trek First Contact. It's too bad that was too young to hear about this game when I was growing up, so unfortunately I don't have the chance to play this awesome game since computers & laptops nowadays can't play these older games. I guess that's the downside of computers today on earth.
Did you see the part where you were in that room and you're on the opposite side of the room of the door and the door opened and closed like as if a cloaked roman came through and you didn't do anything about it yeah that's why your cloak is destroyed.
I have the disc but was never able to make it work on Windows 10. How do I get it to work correctly on Windows 10? I think I even tried changing the compatibility mode through windows settings. I tried the same for ST Birth of the Federation with no luck.
Do you get an error message at all? The first problem I had was the games CD check was refusing to read my disc despite being inserted. Solved it by downloading a modified EXE of the game from a website called GameCopyWorld to bypass the check.
I'm half way through this game and I must say, I find it utterly unenjoyable. I cannot get used to the controls. The pseudo 3D perspective with fixed viewing angle in combination with a 3D player model drives me mad. In one screen/scene, going forward can mean pressing W but in the next screen it could be A, S or D and in the next screen it will be different again. It is the worst way of controlling a character in 3rd person. A lot of commenters seem to look at this game through rose tinted nostalgia glasses. I've had my fair share of Trek games in my time and I have mostly enjoyed them, even the mediocre ones that received bad or average reviews at the time but I cannot warm up to Hidden Evil. Plus, it is really short, like a demo version.
i used to play it back in the day around 20 years ago. i wasn't able to finish it because of an invincible alien in mission 5 at the romulans' base. i just couldn't find a way around it. but here in the walkthrough there is no such thing fort some reason. strange...
Remember playing it back in the day, it actually aged pretty well.

Congratulations.
Had so much fun playing this game back in the day

This just showed up on Gog! The voice acting is definitely on point :D
(I like Picard telling you to get lost if you stick around too long)
Had to look this up since it's on GOG. Would've made a great episode on TNG.
What I love about this game is that the characters look like they stepped out of The Sims.
12:15 I love Data's method of attracting fire. xD
That bug in the tube in mission 3 used to freak me out when I played this years ago
Xa'tal's voice actor sound a lot like the female founder from DS 9.
You are correct!
Salome Jens as Xa-Tal.
@@JC-yu5hd Thank you for your reply. :)
I remember playing this when was a in my early 20's. good game
Thumbs up if GoG brought you here. 👍

no one cares what you think

It's possible to play old games by emulating an older operating system although I have not tried to do it for this game.
We all here cos of gog! Well done gog
I expected a point n click game, but it seems like it plays more like a Resident Evil game..? Am I right?

Resident Evil meets Star Trek. :)
Thanks for the help. Not the best Star Trek Game IMO.

It's now on GOG!

There have been around 50 Star Trek games, and some are masterpieces, but Hidden Evil is considered one of the worst unfortunately.
So he got promoted but does r state he was assigned to the enterprise
what happen to Deep Space Nine? and why the uniform change?
I can’t get him to do the neck pinch what is the action bar to activate it
Space bar
I had this back in the day, but could never get it working! I wasn't missing much, apparently.
This is kind of a similar game engine to Nocturne. Except Nocturne had some fancier effects.
I like both games but Nocturne played and looks sooooo much better. I really love games like this though, wish there were more like them.
Is it just me or does xa’tal sound like the female founder?
She is. Salome Jens.
7:13 and 41:09 Urano scenes
How could you install this on Windows 10?
by buying a GOG copy! :)
@@DanVanDam Sorry, but what is a GOG copy?
Is that kreias voice
No
Cash grab?
This was one of the worst Star Trek games
A silly cartoon.
