- While at the annual Golden West Chevelle & El Camino meet, I met Jim and his 1966 Chevelle. It was great to hear Jim's story, from his first 1966 Chevelle to his current 1966 Chevelle. As you can see in this video, Jim is a character who has had a great history in the car community for many years.

LOVE the look of those stacks. Remember the taller ones in the 70s anodized different colors, came up at different angles etc. St freak stuff!

It's mostly about taking the weight off the front end of the car so you can do a wheel easy and you know putting weight on the back of the car
I wanted him to fire it up!

What color is this? I’m restoring my 1970 biscayne and the color code stamp is removed from the doors and firewall. But it’s factory color is gold. But I’m not sure if it’s autumn gold or Champagne gold but I think it’s the one on this Chevelle. And idk if my interior is gold, sandalwood, or saddle tan or something. I want to get it right. Back to factory original colors

@@jackruss5056 i actually found the cowl tag on my firewall and it has all sorts of information. My factory exterior color code is 58 which is autumn gold, which I love. I think it’s cooler than the champagne. I know a lot of 70 Chevelles look great in autumn gold with black racing stripes. And my interior is code 843 which I still don’t really know what it is. I think i found that it’s Gold, but I feel that is so vague. I still gotta figure that out

The 66 Malibu doesn't have the frame bracing as the Super Sport and that big block will twist the Frame !

What makes you think this car is a Malibu? He said original 396 and I noticed full gauges in the dash. I say it's a 138 vin car.

Boxed frame is ideal but this car would be fine without. DOubt hes doing clutch dumps these days
