Mine did the exact same thing 1/2 pack in. After warranty new motor... I put velcro(fuzzy) side on the motor plate where its exposed to stop the dirt getting in there. Haven't had an issue since.
Hi mate. I know it's over a year but you either got a dodgy motor or that dust done the damage. I put some soft rubber to seal between the motor and chassis. My grandson Ryett loves his vorteks. Great video mate thanks 😂

From watching you and others that's the first thing I did on my big rock and senton did even give the bearings a chance to mess up
It seems like the newer motors have the bearing problems? I have 4 of the 3s rc's that I picked up in late 2020 (Octoberish) - whenever the vorteks came out. I picked up my Vorteks as soon as my local hobby shop got them in. And so far I've had no motor bearing issues. ?? Maybe I got the lucky ones?? I did go ahead and get the trbrc bearings anyway just in case. I appreciate all the info you put out Guy!! 💯💯
Usually for warranty you need to register with proof of purchase within 14 days… I never do 😬😬😬but still worth the call if you feel you gotta case …
Damn guy! Every time I see you with your vorteks it just breaks my frickin heart guy 😫 lol i used to hate it as well BUT once you switch the electronics and have a few spare rear diffs laying around, it's a beast!

The recall was october of 2021 about the diffs of the 3s and 6S RTR line diffs. Couldn't sell any the gaskets of fully assembled diffs so gasket most likely
I really love my Vorteks! Yes It’s not a Big Rock, but i’m having a lot of Fun and it’s easy to repair and do maintenance and for me it’s big part of this Hobby!

Hey what’s up man I love this video I got to tell you from looks alone on the vortex I wanted to get one for my wife I remember your first video of your unboxing how you had issues right from the start so I held off in hopes that you would definitely do a follow up video with a solution to the two main problems I have viewed you have one with the motor in the bearing and two with keeping one of the front tires on now I’m wondering if a vortex was bought brand new off the shelf and before running it all the bearings got upgraded and the tires got checked with maybe a little Loctite do you think the vortex would be the little monster it’s supposed to be because I love my mad van and I wanted my wife to have the vortex what say you and thanks for all you do you have a great information great continent and one of the best RC channels on UA-cam
PS even if you lost your receipts if you purchased with debit card or credit card go back to statements and find the date

The arrma vendetta motor comes with a sealed bearing of high quality looking made in vietnam😳. Still replaced it by a ceramic hybrid sealed. told ya guy motor bearing was about to explode!

Its most likely plastic dust from the clutch rubbing slightly on the case at the back. You can fix that with shims. In my case i drilled under the spur gear to let the trash escape

I got back into the hobby with a 3s line Arrma and quickly got away from the 3s line…to many plastic pieces for me🤪
You must have got a Chinese knock off cause mine has been running strong for the past year. I did upgrades but only cause I made it 6s. Hot racing diffs and yokes with proline shocks and duratrax sixpack st. Thing is a beast.

You got a strange one, Arrma 1/10th cars have been known for being the most durable 3S option out of the box, easily beating the Traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL and Losi Tenacity series. But hey, no company is perfect, some bad ones will always slip through. I mean Ive had my Big Rock V3 since it came out, never needed a single replacement part, and Ive ran it hard, double backflips, over 10 ft high jumps, I did bent one shock shaft at a skate park cuz I felt like being an idiot but bent it back into place myself and still the truck is all-original. Ive probably got 30 battery charges worth of time on it so far. Rich duperbash also agrees the Arrma 3S like is extremely good out of the box.

When an RC has the name "arrma" on it, I immediately decide not to buy it. RC Garage Guy videos are great, however.
They were recalled for an illegal material in the diffs. Most likely the gaskets. My gasket on my vendetta is now blue when before it was brown for the 6TRT idk

Aw man I just preordered the Rival Mt 8. Needed a break from Traxxas. starting to get burnt out. So glad i didnt give in to the new Maxx. Im excited to get something different. was looking at Losi Db Pro, but they stopped making them so that didnt give me a good feeling. Thanks for the Entertainment guy

Sometimes getting something different is definitely in order kind of like how I've been doing Road rips recently at that jump spot it's kind of giving me a different perspective and a different type of view and reboot or reset or whatever you want to call it I can't wait to get back on ripping it but I think the the best part is is doing something else every once in awhile is great

Just fiberglass and aluminum dust from the clutch. Fiberglass dust just as bad as poison ivy on tr he skin!
Centerline has small receipts also so that might make it harder lol good stuff sucks that it's happening tho keep it going

Hey guy , i was trying to get your attention in the love this morning, that HH warranty a motor for me recently and they sent me a replacement motor and it was the old BLX (brand new one in box) motors they used to use before they went to spectrum, they told me that’s what they are sending for replacement warranty. (3s line)Spectrum motors are not available at this present time… hmmmm weird right?? Lmk how you make out

You wanna talk about local hobby shops and receipts... There's still a place around me which was there when I was a kid, who still uses carbon copy receipts! He'll still sit there with a pen and calculator to sum up taxes and stuff. He even still has one of those old school credit card machines which rolls the impression of the card number onto the carbon paper! It's crazy! lol. I don't know how they're still in business but obviously they've done something right!

What's the difference between the big Rock and the Vortex?
Chassis mainly (LWB vs SWB) and suspension and belted tires. The RTR side is the TX/RX and ESC I'm guessing the servo is the same I've never looked into it

No guy the you didnt change the motor on the vortex every arrma motor uses short wires and black motors. The motor that you took out is the original vorteks motor i think ur confusing with another truck i think the bigrock

So pretty much same issues u are having with the vorteks could happen to the granite and the big rock cause the build is all the same ain't they....I no the esc is different and small things like shocks but everything is the same .....
It was diff gaskets that have/had asbestos. It's not enough to raise a flag with US standards. Just UK and Canada.

@@rcguygarage well they come from china... But what I was getting at was that whatever amount of asbestos that was in there was ok by US standards. Asbestos is still used to this day. Here is a quick quote from google:
