- I’ve been saying for months that I’m going to start doing Quran journaling and today I finally started and I honestly haven’t felt better.
Especially in these moments of anger and frustration for what is happening in Palestine, it is important to get closer to Allah.
Doing Quran journaling, from day one I discovered how immense Islam it is and the things that we can learn are endless.

but atleast we should be cautious about Islamic principles.

Muhammad - not muhammed
peace be upon him/SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam - not pbuh/saws
Allah Subhanahuwa Ta'Ala- not swt
Its not about sin and haram but about respect towards our Rabb!

thank you for doing this, showing us how you do it. For me, I started and loved listening and learning from Ustaz Adi Hidayat on tadabbur of Surah al-Fatihah. about 2 hours each ayat and another 2 for the wrap up. This was some years ago but I still keep on going back to listen. alhamdulillah.
May Allah ease our affairs in this dunya and the akhirat. aameen

tips
- set the mood eg light a candle
- isolate from any distraction eg pomodoro, flight mode
- do it while snacking
- set the right intention
- can refer to trusted youtuber eg Bayyinah Institute
- dont stress it out, take notes as if in class
- start with short surahs
questions to ponder
- what can we learn from this surah?
- where and why this surah was revealed?
- is there any particular benefit from this surah?
- is there any comparisons with other surah(s) in the quran?
- what are the lessons that you have learned from this surah?
- what are the things you love about this surah and what does it mean to you?

Assalamu alaykum, I recommend books like Tafsir as Sadi and Tafsir ibn Kathir, it’s best not to take knowledge from NAK although he is a skilled lecturer he isn’t a qualified scholar :)

Thats rude..NAK is a teacher of Arabic Grammar (Fusha) and teaches Quran eloquently. PLS continue taking notes from him. The above comment shows ignorance to Ustadh whom so ever they are.
Hey sis, I started to do quran journaling these days. But i'm confused, can we still do the quran journaling during our period? Because all i know that we are prohibited to read quran during our period. Thank you sis❤
RECITING QURAN - there are 2 opinions:
1) She CANNOT read/recite the Quran.
Most scholars prohibit women from touching the Quran based on the hadith “The menstruating woman and the one who is in a state of sexual impurity (janaabah) should not recite anything of the Qur’aan.”
2) She CAN read/recite the Quran.
This is the opinion of Ibn Taymiyyah, ibn Qayyim, Imam Malik, Bukhari, and one opinion of Imam Ash Shafii as well as many other scholars. Their argument is that the hadith mentioned above is Daeef (weak). In fact, the hadith is considered weak by almost all scholars of Hadith and therefore cannot be used in order to make a fiqh ruling. So women may recite or read the Quran, either from memory or from the Quran mushaf (book) itself.
TOUCHING THE QURAN
Scholars of fiqh agree that someone who is not purified CANNOT touch the Quran because Allah says in the Quran “None shall touch it except the purified” (Waqiah: 79). This includes the junub (sexually impure), the menstruating woman, as well as someone without wudhu.
So how can she read the Quran?
1) Use a barrier (glove, towel, pen) so that her hand doesn’t directly touch the Quran
2) Read it off of a tablet or phone as these are not considered the Quran, but rather devices that have the Quran in them.
3)Read a book which has Tafseer/translation in it - as that is not considered the Quran mushaf (book) either. Even if it contains the Arabic, if half is tafseer/translation, it is permissible for an impure person to hold.

I am hesitant to start because iam like where will i stack my journals after completed (like for lifetime). And yes its a major sign for me as i hve been procrastinating for years

I Will respectfully suggest to people to select those speakers who are excellent at their Sahih Aqeedah like Muhammad Tim Humble Juz 30 and 29,, Moutasem Al Hameedi from Abu Hurairah institute.

I mean what I can get from this surah that is good for me? What lesson can give me that I can use it to my advantage in life?
For example Surat al falaq it’s a surah that protect us from people that they wanna harm us or from people that envy us. Let me know if I was clear
