That has been a great Series with the Yamaha XJR1300.
Loved every minute of it.
It's looking awesome Euan, can't wait to see how she ride's. Paint job look's the nuts too. Well done on your project.
Having fun fitting an R6 swinging arm to my MK1 Fazer ATM 😂
Absolutely stunning bike Pal, I own one of these monsters for years and I love the sound of your exhaust (!)... Mad Max performance, grand job. See u on the road
Nice build seriously! The carbs are always a subject to get them correctly set😅
Very nice obviously a labor of love love the paint job on the tank
Soooooooo close! I can smell victory even here in Holland.
Love the exhaust note of that bike!
Great result given what you had to with work with, as in a real shed build instead of full access to all the whizzbang tools and shops under the sun.
Looking forward to your next build and of course a proper ride video of the 1300 !
Merci pour le partage et le montage de cette vidéo très instructive
Harley mechanics would’ve heard the initial start up and concluded their work here was done. 😎
Great build!
All set up on idle, you wont know more until it gets on the road or better yet the dyno and go through the jets to determine the actual afrs.
Congratulations.
Just looking and sounding superb it is interesting to me that you have led lights I was I guess wrongly informed that this was a fail if the bike was not fitted with led on manufacture because I wanted to do a similar thing with mine can you confirm this is correct cheers 👌👍
As far as I'm aware that rule applies to LED bulb replacements, not LED light units. I.e. you can't put an LED bulb replacement in a standard headlight.
Either way, if they're not blindingly bright and you have a sympathetic MOT tester, you'll be fine.
Is the clutch not disengaging properly?
It didn't, yes, but I had my lever wound in too far so it couldn't actuate the slave cylinder fully. Sorted in a jiffy 👍🏻
Have you ever used them see through spark plugs, for tuning the carbs? I found them really helpful, but I had a V2, where the sparks were in a really easily accessible and visible spot. I'm not sure how well you'd see the middle cylinders there.
I've actually been looking at buying a set, yes. Colortune is the brand 👍🏻
The tank would need to be off and the auxiliary fuel tank rigged up but I think you could still see the inner two cylinders!
@@ShooglyShedMotors I don't think you need a set. I was told that other cylinder(s) should be running with the real spark plugs, and you just use one colortune one at the time. That's how I did it too. In any case, it is really nice to see the effect of turning the mixture screw. Basically instant feedback.
