With her very personal view, the activist and artist Enissa Amani presents Meo da Siena's altarpiece (1330/1333) from the Städel Collection. She shows why and in which elements of the work Near and Far Eastern influences can be found and raises questions about cultural interaction and appropriation.
What does yesterday's art tell us about today? And what does it all have to do with me? The film series "Meinungsbilder" links historical contexts of selected artworks from the Städel Collection with current social discourses.
