I was going to list the ones I liked the most and that I plan to try but then i realized that I was listing them all so I decided to just say thanks and I'll keep you posted on what I manage to successfully make🙏🏻👍🏻💖
This is easily the best woodworking gift idea video I've seen on UA-cam so far. I'm making several of these for my partner this year and have a backlog to get started on for next year!
I loved all of these. Thank you so much for the work you have done this year to provide us with entertainment. Hope you have a great (and relaxing Christmas) many thanks - Jako 🙏🙏
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK Not only did you help me with idea's, you've given me a hope that I can actually do this woodworking obsession & do it well if I continue to practice 🙌❤️🔥🙌
Hi all - I hope some of these quick woodworking gifts have got you out of a tricky situation... I usually tend to leave Christmas presents until the last few days as I'm ALWAYS busy working 😅 If you need to see any of the FULL tutorials, I've put them all together here in a playlist to find quickly: ua-cam.com/play/PLV5z5fnF1kffq7XyU-sSIdiyA6ihNzwUb.html ALSO, as we all need to save money right now, as a Christmas gift to you, I've created free plans for most that you can download NOW (except the dog wine holder & cookbook stand)* by signing up to my free mailing list and you'll instantly see a thank you page, with downloadable PDF links - I recommend BOOKMARKING this page so you can keep going back to it in the future: thecarpentersdaughter.co.uk/subscribe/ *Note, the 2 plans menrtioned above aren't free as they took a LOT more time to put together, but as always, you can get access to ALL of my PREMIUM plans by becoming a Patreon member for as little as $1 a month! Merry Christmas and hope you're all warmer than I was filming this 😂
I know I said one of the other projects was my favorite, when I commented on your last video. But it was a toss up between it and the guitar book ends.
Great summary of the gift ideas. Definitely still the drink plink but the book ends a close second. I'm down to using off-cuts of-off cuts so my builds are getting smaller and smaller!
I like your thinking of using the even smaller offcuts!! Maybe even a perpetual calendar block is on the cards? (An idea my parents kept pestering me to make, but it'll have to be next year now 😆)
Sounds great. I'll be interested to see what you come up with. I just finished a very small watch case with what was left over from making a small box. I'll be down to ring boxes next!
Thumb support for books earned a sub haha. I love physical books but paperbacks are just a nightmare. Kindle solved the pain but unless e-readers can come with built in Old Book Smell then it will just never quite be the same.
Thanks so much 😀 my husband is always moaning about me not going digital, but I think flicking through a book and placing a bookmark in it is so much quicker and yes... the page smell! It's a far better experience than a kindle I think.
what would be more awesome is you can use fancy veneer or fancy lacquer color for the guitar book stand (just like any other over priced electric guitar made of)
So I loved your dog bottle holder. I watched the video Wednesday morning and by Wednesday evening I had designed and cut out a cat bottle holder based on your idea. I made it out of ambrosia maple cut offs and the tail/body was made from mahogany. I don’t have instagram to show you picks of the final project but I do want to thank you for the idea.
Sorry for the late reply, but so happy you were able to use the idea. It sounds beautiful! And feel free to post some pics on my Facebook page or tag me on Twitter 😄
Id like to know more about the Mod Podge Techniqe. The Guitar is my Favorite. I actually have a set of Fender Licensed bookends my wife bought at my local Guitar Store
The guitar one is cool, isn't it? 😀 The mod podge video is here if you can't find it. The possibilities are ENDLESS! ua-cam.com/video/9V529ZgIBc4/v-deo.html
I genuinely loved all of them…but I think on reflection I still love the guitar book ends …and the plink bottle game for design/ fun the most. Thank you for such a great series. Happy Xmas 🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
Hi Vikkie, You have a new subscriber now. I like the ink transfer idea but I prefer the inkjet method I learned from Steve Ramsey many, many years ago. I've had great success with it over the years. I'm actually getting ready to make a gift for my son and his wife using this method. I'll probably make it a video. Any way. My favorite gift from your video was the cat bum bottle opener. However, I think all of the ideas are good ones. I'm going to try the thumb page holder for myself. Thank you and God bless.
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK Here's a link to Steve's video ( ua-cam.com/video/Zq2O66QGCwg/v-deo.html ). He uses used label paper, but I've used kitchen wax paper. Not parchment. It has to have a wax coating. What is nice about using the wax paper is that I have a wide format printer and can cut the paper to fit my printer. In this case, as large as 13" x 19" (roughly 33cm x 48cm). Also, purchasing wax paper is cheaper than label paper. God bless and Merry Christmas to you and you family.
Hi, Vikkie. If I haven't mentioned it previously, I loved this series of videos. It may be my favorite Carpenter's Daughter videos to date. Each of the projects is appealing and well worth building, but I have to say that I especially like this series because it features loads of "Vikkie". You are enjoyable and charming and when you are prominent in a video, I usually enjoy the video. Thanks again for the series. Merry Christmas.
What was your favourite project out of all of them? 🤔
the bottle game
@@malonekenny1 so much fun! Love the clinking... it would probably make a great ASMR video lol
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK well im going to give it a go , be great in the man cave .
@@malonekenny1 Let me know how it goes - would love to see a pic of it finished 😍😍
Plinko, cat's ass & guitar bookends, but let's face it, they were all great...👍👍
The plinko bottle opener is so fun!

I'll definitely be making a few sets of those bookends. Thanks for that!

Thanks so much! I can't believe the original video didn't do that well because it's just so cool!!!! Have fun making it 😀
Many good gift ideas.
Drinko plinko is the one I like the most.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Vikkie Lee.
Thanks so much and merry Christmas to you too!
so Clever! I'm going to try out the guitar bookends!
Thanks 😀 Have fun making them 🥰
So many great money saving gift ideas Vikkie, 💡 brilliant selection.
Thanks so much, Karl! Looking forward to seeing more salvage projects from you too! The cost of things lately is just eye-watering 😿

Too cold in the workshop to add time for videoing just now but added to my website.

Very cool builds. I made a cheese board (top) 3 wine bottle holder caddy, with handles on the sides.
I might just have to copy that idea next year 😆😆 It looked lovely on Facebook and you know I like to make lcohol related gifts 🤣

I'm going to have to look into the ink jet method, I was running around all over looking to find a laser jet, I ended up using our local library.
