It’s interesting to me that mating and blood rage didn’t come up until Diana had a handle on some of her magic. It put Diana and Matthew on more equal footing. Sure, she doesn’t have his speed or strength, but she can hold her own. And she’s not just letting him storm away angrily anymore. It makes me think of the scene in season 1 where he leaves so they don’t break the covenant. She tried to stop him, but she literally couldn’t. Her power came, but it was tied to her emotions and she had no control. Now she does have some, and she’s forcing them both to face their life together. She knows that if they hide things from each other, if they leave things unresolved, they won’t be strong enough to face whatever else may come their way. This scene is so powerful to me, especially with the parallel from season 1. Well done Teresa and Matthew, for making me fall in love with these two all over again, for making me cry!
Keiana Sanders correct, shes the only one of these three ( Sookie, Bella, and Elena). Being a doppelgänger and having menta defenses isn’t really a power.
@@shakethatnose There have been moments on the show in which she didn't use her powers to stand up and fight against those who threaten her or someone she loves.
This piece was so very, very powerful. I believe married couples can relate to this particular scene. As Matthew indicates what "mating" is for him it is extreme because he is a creature, Diana sees exactly how it affects Matthew of having the scent of someone that it becomes unbearable and such "rage" as he describes because he is a creature. His rage of having the scent of someone else on your mate. Is it possible that even humans will do anything extreme or "outrageous" to secure "love". Sure, its possible. But Diana can see that it's a matter that she doesn't let Matthew go. Just as when married couples fight, it's not over until the fat lady sings and by all means that love can conquer the rage, one must be willing to have a deep love for the other and be able to over look the failures of another, I know as "endure to end" and face "long suffering" with strength and love. It can be done. Diana shows that by reminding Matthew that he can overcome his rage. And the performances show it. Terrific brava performance by both Teresa & Goody!!!!

Amazing scene true love unconditional love always wins. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"We're still talking" Wow. I love Diana. Sookie, Bella, and Elena could definitely learn some things from her.
Okay but only one of those people had powers before being turned into a vampire

@@shakethatnose What I meant by them learning from Diana had to do with her being a badass, with or without her powers.
suncore598 but Diana was never badass without powers because she’s always had them even when spellbound

The moment she raised her voice I was like 😨 as we’ve never really seen her lose her temper with him like that before.
