I saw my mother fry chitlins once when I was a young kid in Mississippi. She boiled them most of the time, but the one time she fried them they were really good. I'm 41, and I'm gonna try to cook chitlins for the first time next month for Thanksgiving so I'm watching videos on cleaning and cooking them properly. I'm really craving some because I haven't had any since Thanksgiving around 4 years ago. I saw one method that I want to try. Instead of using watching to cook the chitlins she used chicken broth. She said you can also use water and chicken bullion cubes. I can imagine how that beef broth will make the chitlins taste so much more flavorful.
Adding it would, but you will be taking away the original flavor.i cook them many ways, but I just like them cooked the old way. This is just my thoughts,,when you like them like me there is no wrong way. Thanks for watching.
How nice of you to respond about my Mother Rachel😇 God bless you. Merry Christmas also. I'm making my Mom's New Orleans Oyster dressing and Seafood Gumbo plus a chocolate fudge cake for xmas😎
After 49 years I finally bought some of these shits! Thank you for showing a white boy what’s up! Imma make em this weekend with some collard greens and cornbread. I love livers and gizzards so I bet I’m gonna really like these too! Thank you and keep dancing! 😂
The first time and only time I have eaten chitterlings,I was 19 and in college...they were fried and tasted pretty good.I Will not eat them boiled.....haven't eaten any since I was 19
Why add the spices and veggies after the intestine? You're not making a broth so why not just add them to a vegetable stock for flavor? Why not make a batter that incorporates hot sauce? Like a tempura batter? Yea... Yea. You gave me an idea. I'm going to clean them, boil them in a flavorful stock, dry them, skewer them, dip them in batter, deep fry and serve with a drizzle of hot sauce, salt, pepper and sesame seed. Then serve on a bed of fresh shredded mustard greens.
There clean,I would not eat them if they where not.plues where I live there or no white buckets. My grandmother always used them,Thanks for watching and happy holiday.
That man be geeked up fr😂😂
Aight then! Navasota Texas! O Dub! Want me a plate right na!

Much more healthier than powder seasonings and the natural seasoning helps to tenderize meat.

Even better is to fry those chitlins in lard. Hydrogenated oil is not so good for you; and they're not as tasty.
